Out of these five ski resorts, I've only been to Sunday River, Loon, and Sugarloaf. I've always wanted to ski at Alta and Vail, and was wondering out of these 5 mountains, which ones are the most popular and have the best skiing out of them.

I feel like I should vote for Alta without ever having skied there.

the first 3 are really good east coast mountains but a great east coast mountain can't touch the nice western mtns you listed. alta is one of the best ski resorts in the world. vail gets a bad rap and it's no alta but it's a great mountain as well

its vail for sure unless you dont need a park, then Alta

the east coast resorts just cant compete
