Anyone got mountain lion yet! I'm in the process of downloading it now, I'm real excited integrated flikr sounds pretty awesome, any experience with it yet? what do you think

I'm loving it so far. really dig the launchpad, makes it almost like using an ipad/itouch via the trackpad. Any game or app you download goes right into the launchpad which is super convenient. All my process' are running super smooth as well. I really enjoy the notification feature as well.

(keep in mind I went from snow leopard to mtn lion, some of the features may have been in lion as well but I never used it)

i'd give it a few weeks to sort out any bugs (there will be some, trust me...)

im downloading mountain lion now. ive been using the beta version of messages, its pretty cool. looking forward to the other new features.

just realized im pretty dumb... mountain loin is ready to be installed but im setting wine up in terminal. now i just have to wait for that to finish haha

yeah Lion already had launchpad but ML added search to it which is nice, and I'm enjoying Airplay mirroring to my Apple TV since I use it all the time with my iPhone

wish i had snow leopard again... apple is trying to limit their os so that eventually its like an ipad with a keyboard...not good

im still happy with my mbp running snow leopard. can't stand to use my buddies mbp with lion on it. i would just rather use his ipad. not super excited for mountain lion really, probably won't be upgrading anytime soon

both my comps are running SL, and i'd only upgrade my MBP to Mountain Lion if there are newer programs with compatibility issues (don't think there would be)

I'm on lion on my hackintosh , just because I was having graphics card issues with SL, but other than compatibility with some ati cards lion is worse, definitely not updating in the near future.

really? do you have a link about that? if it really makes a difference then i might have to upgrade

it must be all the little things that make it good, because i havent noticed anything too cool except for dictation i can literally write everything by just saying it!

Depends on what computer you have. I have a mid-2009 MBP, so I can't use the features like Powernap and Airplay Mirror. If I had an rMBP, I'd go for it, but SL is fine for me, no reason to switch.

i like it a lot. the multi touch trackpad stuff is fun to use. and the icloud stuff works really well

I'm on ML now, and it does run smoother...the first time I booted up to it things were kinda janky, but after a restart everything runs a bit better and I haven't had any performance issues since. I'm not stoked on the whole OSX becoming iOS thing, I get it because it's simplified and makes sense to the masses so it's easier to use (one of the reasons iphones and ipads are the most used smartphones/tabets out there right now...my grandparents have iphones but can't use their computer to do much at all), but it does bother me. Personally, I just don't use launchpad...that's really the only thing that's making it like iOS. I like that I can seamlessly go from my computer to my phone now, like if I make a change to my notes or calendar or I'm mid text/im it's already on my phone when I need to leave for somewhere.

i have a downloaded version of fcp 7 and it was deleted in the process of upgrading to ML which sucks alot because my project that i was working on is gone now...

has anyone had problems with installing new operating systems? last time i tried to do it i messed up my computer BAD

After a couple days use I still am enjoying M.L. I have noticed a few process' in FCP lag a bit but all my Adobe programs work just as they always did. Internet browsing seems to be unaffected (I hate when new OS' fuck with the loading screens and they just keep going on and on and on... haha). I don't regret venturing away from snow leopard, at least for my concerns.

from a 10 min google search i came to the conclusion that it works, some say you have to do a clean install and some dont.

Peferctly happy with Snow Leopard and my Mac having more of a normal desktop feel.

Not in any rush to change the way it works. It does.

brothers macbook was running a little funny, and you can buy once for multiple computers, so I'm in the process of getting the whole family upgraded

Does anyone know how Lightroom 4 runs in ML? I remember that when it first came out, LR4 was really slow in Lion, but it got faster in later versions. I don't want it to slow down again.

I got it for Airplay and some of the iCloud integration stuff my wife uses all the time. $20 for both our computers isn't too concerning.

I have not noticed slower performance (like we did with Lion initially) and I really like the notifications and improvements towards seamless integration of my wife's devices/data with her laptop. I have study groups at my house a lot, so Airplay is the nice feature for me. We have moved to the living room since I can now put up our powerpoints on the TV quickly and easily.

I usually go ahead and update software when it comes out anyway. New security updates, regular software updates, etc. always seem to run without issue when you have the latest version of OSX. I think the iOS stuff is stupid, so it takes me about 10 seconds to remove it from my tool bar and pretend it never existed.

FCP7 and all of the programs associated with it are still fine in every way for those who are curious.

so far i like mountain lion a lot. i got ir for free so its not like im using anything. so far i havent noticed any bugs or performance issues. imessage is nice too. the notification center is actually really cool. i would recommend it
