"NEW FOR 05/06:

-A 40ft C-rail

-A 60ft down slope created from the 40ft down slope from last year

-A 40ft street style flat rail

-The Mastermind said there would be a total of 10 new rails this season

They are going to build two extra wide boxes for beginners and intermediates. Half Moon will be turned into a park this year and there will be no changes in the park at South for the coming season. This is the first anyone has heard from him all year. Hopefully I will be able to sneak back there soon and provide another update.

New:

- 30ft Streetstyle down slope rail (4 inches wide)

Or how about this news… The POOP DADDY is returning to Independence Pass this year! It will be elevated on a snow platform that will create a significant drop-off.

Here is an explanation of the oil tank and the multi-angle battle box:

Oil Tank- A replica of an original oil tank that will be 15ft long 8ft wide and 5ft tall. It will be covered in U.H.M.W.

Multi-angle 40ft battle ship box- The angles will be 15 degrees up 5 degrees up FLAT 5 degrees down 15 degrees down. From the looks of the sketch it will offer tons of combinations.

Check out our press release. ….. www.transworldsnowboarding.com"

and apparently jiblab has a myspace account with some pics of a 40' 2'wide box and some others up.

battle of the creek's....bear creek vs. moutain creek...you sertainly have us on the skiing aspect, we'll se about the park

You cant even mention Bear Creek in the same sentence as Mountain Creek.

Bear Creek is tiny. MC wins by size of their park alone. Not to mention MC has the clear advantage with amount of features and variety. also, MC has alot more streetstyle setups and definately better flow. I guess Bear Creek is good if you dont feel like driving. I actually live closer to Bear Creek, but drive the extra hour to Mountain Creek because Bear is pretty lame.

bear's park had such good flow last year, i dunno what you are talking about. the 50 foot stepdown up down was also pretty top notch.

yeah dude you need to check bear out, yeah our verticle isnt too hot, mc is pretty damn big, but our park is making a killing, especially with the kids we have managing it. awsome atmosphere, crazy park and lodge, and then next year theres talk of expanding the park to make a LOT more room. you cant count us out for shit.

Did you guys even go to MC last year? Bear Creek isnt even in the same league. No offense to your spot and all, but its just reality. You say that Bear my expand next year? MC is expanding this year and its already bigger than Bear. Plus the setups at Bear last year was weak. There wasnt anything streetstyle. Nothing looked clean. Plus MC is hosting the Grand Prix events on NBC. Do you really think that anything at Bear is worthy of being on tv? doubt it.

how long has mountain creek had a park? quite a lot longer than bear has. bear underwent new management not too long ago, and now they finally see what they need to do at their mountain to bring in people, and its by having a pretty solid park. sure, there isnt as many features as mountain creek, but i'm not complaining. everything in bear's big park last year was quality, and i dont know how you cant see that. who cares if nothing was set up street style? why is everyone so set on having rails set up street style? you dont need to have to make a rail street style to make it fun.

yeah deff. i mean a rail is a rail, yeah you can make it a down rail and stuff but i'm pretty sure at one point we had a rail like that. but justo made a good point as how fast we are growing. like seriously if you looked at our park 2 years ago...it was like ah i cant even explain it. an now its boosting 55 foot gaps toooons of rails, almost always maintained, its just grown so much and shows no sign of stopping. i think that if not this year, the following years we will be getting close to tieing mc's park, (not the mountain!)(with the park expainsion of coarse)

ok well its not like bear doesnt have rails like that. Im not saying that mtn. creek isnt better than bear im just saying that it isnt far behind at all. Both mountains have sick parks and are progressing really fast.

Bear Creek may have similar rails, but they definately arent as good, they arent setup the way MC sets them up and they don't have nearly as many.
