I just got a cannondale jekyll 2000 lefty with a fox vanilla rear, full lockouts....a bit too lawyer-ish for me though, I want a beefy ds bike.

i have a Pacific from Toys R Us, and im not joking, its such a pimp bike, its a DH bike with dual shocks and the bells and whistles, only 300 bucks. hehe, ive had it for like 3 years, and it hasnt broken, so awesome

I recomed going with a fully. unless you have one. the Kona cowan looks pretty sick, all kona's are tough. I have a stinky with shiver's but i sold them for skis.. if you want to spend like 200 -250 tops on a frame go with the azonic steelhead.....

Specialized (i forgot how to spell, sue me) Hard Rock, like, 2002. Great on trails, goods on the tiny jumps i hit, gets the job done.

Gary Fischer Sugar 2. love it, but it is one of the original Sugar's, so it has bad chain suck and the rear travel could be 2 inches more. but other than that, it works great for me. single track and urban.

im not gonna diss kona, they make some amazing stuff. but none of thier bikes have a linkage rear end (the shock is linkage activated, but not the rear wheel). that works fine on the shorter side of travel, but when you get upwards of 5 inches, it makes a huge difference to have a linkage system like FSR or VPP, and a SPV shock makes them ride like an XC'er. and if anyoner is considering a big hit bike, Go check out the Iron HOrse SGS bikes. aboslutely packed to the gills with top of the line compnents, a burly frame with a proven design, and a price that is less than half of what their worth.

yeah tghe Vpp is sick. my next bike will definatly have it. im not to hardcore into freeriding i just thrash around N*. i think my stinky has 5-6 inches of travel in the back but i bet ive only used 4 of them..My next bike wil be an santa cruz vp free.

i have a trek 9000000 with super extereme 9 marthanon switch back ninety 70' master shocks in the front and santa fox expoiliation thermoduper extra tough super duper 90 in the back, yeha its pretty sweet
