Mountain biking is hard af and much more of a workout than you would think. The only sport where old men pass me
 
If you think skiing is expensive, don't even bother buying a bike

With that being said, biking is a great way to get skiing off your mind during the offseason and stay in shape

Yes and no. Yes, bikes are expensive and quickly get into car prices. But to compare to skiing, once you factor in allllll the equipment you need for skiing PLUS a season pass you are about the same as an entry level bike.

I find it to be very much worth it.

Exactly. These privileged ignorant morons think going uphill with a touring setup and avy gear plus training is somehow less expensive and more dangerous than mtbing. I guarantee these pussy spoiled assholes have never ridden a bike without a lift assisting them while covered in more protective gear than a healthcare worker fighting ebola.
 
Downhill is the chyllest.

Ride a lift up up the mountain to ride back down while jumping off of shit. Same as skiing! Between the two, I only have a total of two ish months a year that I’m not on the mountain. Love that shit.
