the Trek 6700 is a good full XC bike. Trek has a great warrenty too. I love my fuel. They are pretty cheap too. 760 retail, but you never pay retail. If you want a full suspension bike, check out the fuels, they have a great platform. The liquids are awsome too. I demo'd the liquid 55 and it was nuts.

I really wouldn't suggest a trek if you're going to even be participating in light freeriding, I snapped one at the headtube going off a 3ft drop, I'm not even a big guy, and I'm smooth as anything (hardtail born and bred). They're good XC bikes, granted :)

well, i was suggesting that you get a bike purely for xc. I think trek makes great frames for xc riding. I agree, if you are planning on doing stunts and urban, go with something burly. However, dont break the bank on the bike if you plan on destroy yourself and it. Ya need money to replace the broken stuff.
