Mountain bike resorts

are there mountain bike oriented resorts. most resorts i kno of are four season, and try to provide for multiple types of recreation. there is elevation in warm climates, so its possible.

greatest MTB resort in the world, no contest, ask anyone, Whistler. but that's only in the summer.

and the best resort in america I would have to say is Keystone, I love it sooooooooo much, best biking ever.. But again, only in summer. There is RAYS MTB if you want year round

yeah well there's snow all over mammoth and keystone, and that sucks for mountain biking, unless someone has better tires for snowbiking.

you gotta believe there's a ton of profit sitting there. look at how cheap whistler was, now it's huge. i've got boys in cali with vaca homes on the mexican coast, people vacation there regularly. i mean, i'm from the east coast, so that's kinda sweet. anyway u look at it, all you'd need is a attractive business plan

Wait, your OP was really confusing. You want to know if theres a resort thats ONLY mountain biking? That would be silly from a business prospective. Why do that when you can still get a bunch of cash from hikers and such

my home mountain does mtn biking in the summer. it is Plattekill mountain. idk if any of you have heard of it. but it was once rated in the top 5 best mtn bike parks in the U.S. The mountain biking in the summer is what is keeping the mountain open in the winter.

Tons of gaper hikers pay to get up the lift. Theres a few tiny local hills I know of that are just mountain biking, one in texas comes to mind

europe's got a shortage of snow right now, there are probably some year-round biking resorts over there.

I've never had a chance to bike at Keystone cuz it always closes right as I get back for college from home but I've biked at Northstar a lot and they have a great setup, given you don't mind copious amounts of dust.

there's a market around skiing, snowboarding and mountain biking. except for your specialty shoes at REI or carbiners for waterbottles, hiking isn't nearly as popular. it's obvious that people are aggregately pay more for mountain biking than hiking, which, again, is the idea.

I know where youre getting at, but im just saying, if they can make any money of it, they will try. I cant say I know of a mountain biking RESORT thats only for mountain biking, but like I said, theres alot of small hills that are mtb only, but dont really have anything around them

in BC there is whistler, sun peaks, silverstar, kicking horse, fernie, apex and im sure a few others. All lift access bike resorts. Damn I love living in BC
