Mount Snow's opening Thanksgiving Day with a park on Gulch

nice early setup this Saturday, had a great time. Bottom rails were kind of sticky near the end of the day, any1 else notice? Ate it pretty good few times.
 
mount snow was sick the boxs were sick the rails sucked they were to stickey.......ALso mad traffic coming home still going on! was any body else in it? lots of car accidents.
 
Took three hours to get home.....and I live in Vermont.

But yeah, today was really really fun, and the fact that we got some "pow" was also super sick.

I fucking HATED the upper section of the park....everything was way too sticky and the landings were just holes in the ground, not to mention icy as fuck. I did however love the bottom park.

The first flat box was super sick, and then it led into the up rail which was the dopest feature there. I loved that section.

Overall I'm really happy with the day even though the rails kind of sucked, it was still really fun.

 
The snow blowing caked everything and made it sticky and annoying, but it was still dope as FUCK. Great day no doubt.
 
4.5 hour car ride was hell, but everything else was super fun! lil bit of powder too, even got some face shots with powder slashes
 
IT SHOULD NOT TAKE 3 HOURS TO GET TO I91 FROM MT SNOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fucking prius's and dumb shits who don't know how to drive.

But yea, the skiing was fun, my buddy sliced his thumb open then while he was getting taken care of on the deck of the Carinthia lodge some douche wearing last years FD just dragged his skis right over him.
 
Not sure what was up with that road closure/ retardedness on rt 9. Did anyone take 100 all the way to 91? I wonder if that was fucked too.
 
It was just people going absurdly slow for the most part. We passed a majority of the traffic in the other lane haha and got within 5 cars of the front after 2.5 hours, and it was one fucking idiot in a civic going literally 10 miles an hour. There was alot of cars stuck going up hills, one car flipped over, some spin outs. At least the east bound lane was moving, the west lane literally did not have a single car moving the whole 3 hours, they were all completely stopped.
 
haha i hate shitty traffic like that. everybodies just gotta pass em. One time driving up to stowe there was traffic from the flats most of the way up the hill. Some bullshit driver goin 10 and holding up everyonee
 
fun day

my suby bossed it out on the roads. got stuck in traffic right outside mount snow for about an hour and it took a little while to get to route 8 but from there it was good.

people should remember not to drive a vagina to a mountain
 
Sooo does anyone know what the deal is with the park building this week? I assume Nitro is gonna get built this week?
 
No idea, but on their Facebook they said they were putting a few more features in the gulch.

I feel like they will start building Nirto soon though, last year at this time they had jumps..soo..
 
agreed....shouldnt have been just nitro(S) sized features ...put some decent sized rails and fix the crooked boxes and mt snow will be kickin!
 
Haha word. Half of them were grommet sized features. Flat box, maybe two inches off the ground, pipes buried so low you couldn't see them until you were on top of them, rails four inches off the ground where the takeoffs are higher than the rail themselves?

Oh well, I guess I can't complain too much as they had only opened a day or two before. Hopefully they make things bigger in the next few days.
