if you were gonna be hotboxing it, it would look really funny for a bit, especially when you put the bubble up. but eventually they'll probably look like the ones at whistler where its all custy and you cant see fuck all.
 
Yeah but it was the slowest lift known to man. I would take it once in a blue if I didnt want to wait on line at Summit Express or if I wanted to drink a beer on the lift or something.
 
it's great if you're in no hurry, and on days where summit express is inconceivably crowded i've timed it and local with no line is quicker
 
and very loud and noticeable. you only get gnar points if you yell out that it was you who farted before getting off
 
these crappy inventions are all over europe, i can't remember ever having to use the bubble, not even on a snowy day, except for when there were moms/little kids on the lift with me ....
 
I don't know, I can see it coming in handy at Mount Snow. There are some seriously windy days on occasion where you get blasted on the lift.
 
I remember when lake Louise had those on the friendly giant chair. Not so fun in the summer though, you just bake in them
 
I used to work at a mountain that was ridiculously windy. One of the main lifts a high speed triple would get rocked at the end. You'd go through an open section where the wind whipped around the mountain along the cliffs and blasts you. I've been there when it was -65 windchill. these look fucking goofy but sometimes these kind of things really come in handy.

so i was in the cannyons Utah and they had about 10 chairs they were testing out
they were heated seats, and a bubble thing as well..
amazing
 
Hmm.. Maybe the Lake Louise one didn't have this option, probably would explain why they had them every other 4 chairs.

I don't see the hype. They are good for when it's blizzarding and everything, but there are a lot of douchebags out there that have zero respect for anything that isn't theirs.

I can just see these things getting gross and disgusting from people spitting chewing tobacco and all that other fun stuff.
 
the heated seats at canyons suck. they melt the snow on your butt and it gets you wet and cold.
 
Ehhhhhhh Mt Snow wind isn't that bad. Now if there is one chairlift in the world that needs this, it is the Green Mountain Flyer at Jay. Coldest chairlift ever.
