MOUNT SNOW

No jumps at Mount snow for "couple of weeks". the past 3 years they had jumps on opening day. I understand that they are opening with under 3 days of snowmaking. Thus, I am not expecting jumps on Saturday. I was expecting jumps by next weekend given Mount Snow's past efforts, their ability to make snow, use of high quality technology, and emphasis on park.

FYI, I am not a park rat at all and prefer to ski tougher runs than a jump or rail. I'd prefer to ski bear trap or on the north face, but I know it is not possible to do so at this time.

I don't remember them opening up with jumps the past two years? Not a dig, I just don't remember it.

Here's the features that I remember in the order in which they appeared.

Mineshaft: Spine, DFD, down-rail

Gulch: new flat rail, small wallride w. multi takeoffs, 2 flat rails, and a corrigated FD.
 
Check out the website. There are already a couple more features in Gulch it looks like. Probably more by the weekend i would guess.
 
Checked the website, the setup looks dope I'm going saturday. Its says their blowing snow on nitro and inferno. Do you think those will be open by Saturday?
 
there was only a coating of snow on them today so i doubt it. Mineshaft to gulch is prime right now. some fun jibs setup for sure.
 
Fucking icy. But I was skiing so I was happy. And who had the NS sticker on there helmet? Didn't fell like doing a chads gap call out
 
i was there with armada ar6's and NS stickers but i was fucking terrible. I have this oshgoods slaughters in my knees and it hurts so fucking badly. my good skiing days are over
 
Dude I feel you. I just got ACL and meniscus surgery in may and I now have excruciating patellar tendonitis. So fucking frustrating.
 
the one thing i'm good at and love is now like 'out of reach'... it sucks I was looking forward to winter since may and now all the time and fun i've had skiing from past years is all down the drain
 
The parks are shot mountain looks and rides like an old crusty piece of toast the trail riding is even far from entertaining and I'll ski just about anything
 
It was a bit icy yesterday, but what do you expect when it rains the night before?

Cold temps this week mean resurfacing of everything open, and expansion of terrain. Gulch is being rebuilt today.

All in all, the setups have been super fun, no complaints here despite the piss poor weather, only props to park and snowmaking crews for providing good times out of shit weather.
 
was up there friday and saturday. weather was warm but the parks were pretty good, def packed out though. still worth going.

i was wearing a teal blue jacket,white pants, blue FTs,ar7s, and a goPro haha
 
I would just like to commend the entire park crew at Carinthia for making one hell of a Gulch park, I was there Saturday and it was easily the best day out so far this year.

Don't know bout Sunday but Saturday was easily the funnest day I've had in a long time. Gulch just blew me away. Rail variations and jump line with that step up were mad fun. Only thing is, i'm hoping soon they put in a nice long flat down rail or up down rail.
 
sick shit man! i remember seeing you out there all day with that jacket and doing some real nice tricks.
 
Im coming over from Canada to ski here for 3 day. ill be skiing jan 31st - Feb 2nd and would love to ride with some newschoolers. lemme know if your interested
