MOUNT SNOW

that would be ill...the price of the whole mountain pass is keeping me away from a pass, ill just do some epic day trips

The way I understand things that was after the Third stop of the Paul Mitchell Open thing at Mount Snow a bunch of snowboarders came down from Stratton that were there for their USO and were super stoked on what they saw.

Couple that with the positive praise from those who were at the Mt Snow Skiing Open and what Peak Resorts has been doing at their vertically challenged sister resorts (Big Boulder) and the fact that the Boyds - Tim and son Jesse along with their inside line with SMI snow guns, a huge skilled rail shop in the Poconos along with Mt Snow hosting an East Coast Cutters camp they have established and proven a formula for success....

Its a safe move! Do it!

They should make a park only pass for that face only...

The huge season pass price is going to push alot of people away.

Holy shit this is big news. Such a fucking smart idea on Mt Snow's part. Right now there is no true east coast mecca's. I mean Mt. Snow, Sunday River, Loon, etc... have always had big parks but this is huge. Glad to see some big ski corporations opening their eyes.

ok i know this thread is a tad old, but if anyone has contact with the management at mount snow you should tell them to seriously consider getting park passes, because with bigger terrain park s come a bigger potential to land on litle girls wearing unicorn helmets.

save your time, it wont work.

me and my friends have been trying for the last 2 years and mt snow just wont budge, they say they dont want to "limit ticket buyers to a certain area" but alls it would take is the thing that stratton does.

also with the whole face being a park, i doubt there will be as many little kids rolling around.

pretty much.... once people venture over to that side they will likely hightail it right on out of there.

yea i guess you'll just need some thugged out kids doing meth at the top of the chair that comes from the other part of the mountain

Park passes would be nice at BB but after hearing what mgmt had to say about it and watching now 2 seasons, I have a better grasp of where they are coming from.

I spend time talking to people in the park that shouldn't be there, or better yet people who are putting themselves in dangerous areas simply because they dont know. I'd say about 75% of the people I talk to thank me for the information and apologize.

Most of the time it is parents following their kids through the park. I remember getting yelled at for taking my kid into the park. It wasn't a pleasant thing and it did nothing to deter me from allowing my kid in the park.

The key is to point out the "start small stuff" and point them to the beginner parks and do it politely with out prejudice or arrogance.

we were all noobs once, a lot of these people in the parks are only there for the weekend or day, remember they are the ones that are actually paying for your park, not the season pass holders.

how is the mt snow/stratton/ lower VT chilling scene? we're thinkig of getting a condo but i don't want to not have anything to do at night...

there really isnt much around, theres the snowbarn, cuzzins, and the silo for bars and none of em are really that great. but with a killer park why would you ever want to leave?
