Mount Snow to Blow Snow Tonight, park possibly open October 29th

^ those were the plans... but.....

The temps are acting temperamental tonight so we won’t be making snow.

Boo, temps. However, Mother Nature might drop some flurries on us

tonight and we could even wake up to a slight accumulation! Wee! As

soon as the temperatures start cooperating, we’ll be firing up our guns

ooops my bad.. I should read more carefully. This is the message I got..

"Im going to fire up the guns again here at mount snow tomorrow. "

Above 3000 it DUMPED before dark, not sure what the snow level is now or how heavy as I am inside away from a window.

yeha it was raining a little at the bottom, but driving back into the storm it started to rain hard, so i wouldnt be suprised if they get a good coating especially up top (and at killy n places).

i know its been said but thanks again ms. the crew is just as stoked to get the park up n running as we are to ski it, and they're awesome people, so props to ms staff.

theyre blowing again tonight and this time i think they mean business

based on weather.com they can blow snow from about right now till 9 am thats a good 12 hours of snowmaking!!!!

Also their site says that they wanna open a lift this weekend with tickets being 10 bucks

Call ahead, because it's supposed to POUR this weekend.

I hope it works out though for you guys as it'd be great for skiers, and great for the charity.

Mt Snow is doing a great job.

supposed to be warm this weekend and raining...bad news but during the week its supposed to cool again...if they can blow night n day next week nov 1st will be on, if not then itl depend on coverage that they get from blowin at night

only 1.5 hrs?? thats practically walking distance lol.

ill make the 3 hr drive fo sho if i can get off work that day

anyone know if the $10 is for everyone or if season pass holders dont have to pay? i mean obv its no big deal and its for charity, but i was jw

cmon now are you fer cereal? there's going to be a LIFT, SNOW and JIBS. 10 to charity is nothing considering the money mt snow is putting into this for us, and it's not even touching their pockets.

pretty sure thats from this morning but im not certain

obviously you didnt read my post. i said its not a big deal, but i was jw. read before you post dumb shit like that.

and yes cap, ^ that is from this morning.

and just 12 minutes after posted, this is the update from ms.com:

UPDATE 1:00pm: I just got word that the lift will NOT be turning tomorrow. Launch Pad should still have a hike-able terrain park open to the public and because we're not carting you to the top, it's still FREE! Now you can drop that extra cash on some fresh gear at Backside Snowboards. Just a suggestion...

Good morning everyone! I’m stoked. Why? Because we blew snow last night. That’s right, snow. The weather was in our favor last night and we were able to blow about 2-3” over on Launch Pad. In fact, our snowguns were running till about 8:00 this morning. Crazy, right?? Our park crew is out there right now installing some jibs, so here’s the official news:

A hike-able terrain park on Launch Pad is OPEN today!

I told you I was stoked, and now you know why. Come out today and get jib-nasty with Mount Snow.

Today, temperatures will be in the 40’s to 50’s, so if you plan on skiing or riding today, make sure you don’t bundle up like that kid on A Christmas Story.
