Mount skis backwards?

anybody ever mounted their skis backwards?

I just put some p10's on my chronic wides... true center, but backwards. Thinking of testing them out on sunday...

baahaha, that;ll be interesting. should be kinda cool though. Now, you just need to mount one ski forward, and one back. awww yeh

i think when you mount skateboard trucks backwords if you try to turn left you turn right and vice versa

i dont think that will happen on your skis though but if you get in pow your tips may turn down

i dont think that skateboard thing happens it would probably just be harder to turn left and right but it wouldnt be opposite. because teh truck just pivots so if you flipped the inverse point around it would probably just not work as easily

i met a kid that got one of his invaders mounted backwards. he said he couldn't notice anything wrong with it... but that's just invaders...

when my dad was teaching me how to mount skis when i was like 12, i mounted a pair of old directional skis backwards just for kicks. I think i skied them once.

i think the habits have the same shape and stuff but are cheaper and have more flex. something along those lines so it should work.

Haha, awesome. Might feel a little weird, but should ride switch well I guess. Will be interesting at the least.

someone from the idea crew - i think pep - had some all mountain skis mounted backward for some sick all switch cruising. there was a picture or something on here about a month or 2 ago.

pep did it on race skis, poles had mirrors and a little bike bell on it. they wouldn't let him in nastar to race. they said no fun runs. even though he most likely would have set best time of the day.... i was working though, didn't take any pics

yep it's all in the way the trucks carve, they kinda angle towards the center normally when you turn but angle outwards when you mount em backwards.

and those chronics will be sick switch lol

wont the flex be funny? since most companies do a stiffer tail then tip. i guess it could be fun for tail butteres, but landing should could be interesting.

it'll work fine... it'll just be hard work. your have extra width behind you so initiating and releasing a turn will take more work going forward. it'll be better switch for sure, and pow will just be hard work.

blue's reopen ;) check their site

and i already have a friend who's coming with me in a skibag... sry

is that 1 chronic and 1 chronic wide??? or just two right skis?? i think i see red on one, purple on the other, making it two completely different skis....

its obviously 2 different skis, not chronic wides......a pair of chronic wides does not have the same graphic on each ski , they are different and they do not have 1 red, 1 purple tail......ITS 2 DIFFERENT SKIS...

those both are chronic wide's.... and both are right skis.... and one is blue and one is red.... its a long story haha

Why would you mount your skis backwards? My invaders were mounted backwards, but on the invaders there really isnt a tip or tail.

i never would have thought of that.

it should be pretty sick switch...

tell us how they ride once you test them.
