Mount Bohemia!!!

Mt. Bohemia blows Whistler, vail, and a lot of overated resorts right out of the water if i have the chance ill definitely be there this season

mt bohemia is a little slice of out west smacked in the northernmost point of michigan. i have my season pass

its a place in the UP of michigan that gets like 300 inches of snow a year and is actually a decent mountain.

i would check it out but I moved to montana to go to school. i really want to ski there sometime though. I might hit it up when i come home for christmas. everyone seems to associate michigan with detroit and skiing trash hills, but once you get north of the bridge michigan is sick. tons of snow up there, great kayaking in the spring, good fly fishing, really really good ice climbing, decent rock climbing.

haha i hope your fucking kidding, i just wasted 8 minutes of my life looking at there website.. hmmm 900 vertical feet and 71 runs, really makes me want to go there.. im looking at all the pictures they have of skiing powdeer in the trees and the pitch is a flat as a 6th grade girl..i really hope your kidding

oh shit

wait i was wrong, haha i guess i just read what one of the new bowls is and thats what i thought was the vertical drop ..anyways it still looks flat and stuff and kinda gay

could somebody who skis mt bohemia a lot post some pictures? the ones on the site are shitty and i have yet to see some cool photos of the place. i have their promotional dvd and that is awesome. 40-50 cliff hucks and some nicely gladed steep runs.

might be hittin it up this winter with my friend and his fam cuz they got a room up there 17hr drive

yea dude im just fucking around but it isn't a bad place. they don't groom a single run and they get around 300 inches a year off of L superior

middle of nowhere, not flat at all, lots of glades, drops, snow, yurts for a lodge, no park, doesn't rival western ski mountains. It's a tall rock in MI that gets a lot of snow. Some days it can be amazing there many true pow days (1-2 ft easy) and some days it's not worth a half hour dive up there.

i live right up by there like 2 hours away, i go ther like 3 times a month. its sick. cliffs, glades, some other natural hits that are pretty cool.

Yea I only live about an hour south of Bohemia (except when I'm at school) and as far as midwest skiing goes its incredible. I don't konw why they don't post good pics on their site but for whatever reason they like dumb pictures of bad skiers. It dosn't compare to out west and a lot of the cliffs are really technical(lots of trees on the landings and not clean cliff faces) but if you can't get out west its a great alternitive. And if your going through Marquette they probably have the best park in the Midwest(they usually build it fairly late season but if you can make it up for Midwest Superpark its incredible for that!) Between those two hill you have some of the best skiing inthe Midwest. It's good stuff!

Upper midwest skiers, Bohemia's worth it if you hit it after a nice dump or during, but definately make a 3 day weekend out of it and ski Mqt Mtn twice on the none snow days!

The cliffs are yes 30-40, but you land flat, you're not taking them directly straight. The only "pillow" action you'll ever get in the midwest though!

I think I'll go this year. I have only been there one other time and I enjoyed it alot. I think it was one of there first years they opened.

I go to NMU which is like an hour away from Bohemia. We are expecting snow tomorrow according to the WC. Can't wait. There really are some nice cliffs there and believe it or not there are a few really steep runs.

They sent me their promotional DVD which is absolutely ridiculous. If you go to the very end, theres a cheap horror film that is absolutely hilarious. Go to their site and tell them to send it to you.
