Any of you guys ride?

More specifically, have any of you guys ever transported skis on your bike? I've been thinking about rigging my Daytona 675 for a trip to big bear. Could be a horrible idea, but I have seen it done before...

I have a V-Star 1100 classic that I am close to fully Blacking out. Love it. Nothing like cruising around on a bike on a nice day.

This is my bike. I will be willing to trade it for an oh word or a jiberish blanket. or a lock of jon olssons hair.

Attaching them to the lower part of your bike parallel with the frame works the best. Just make sure you have room to reach your legs around them to shift properly and you should be fine. Also, make sure the bag doesn't touch the exhaust pipes(they will melt the bag very quick, even on a cold day)

My bike is pretty much the only thing I ever drive, unless I'm taking skis somewhere. Then I use a car haha.

Straightlin - that's a sweet beemer!

spagett - saw that 1945 indian at the motorcycle show in long beach actually :)

My buddy rode his motorcycle back (a cruiser) stuffed full of camping gear, I believe maybe skis as well. I don't know about a sportbike

I like the Triumph. Do those belts hold up pretty well versus chain link? I'm guessing low maintenance at least

I was gonna get a GSXR 750 or a Repsol CBR 1000RR, but then I bought another R6. I have a problem with those bikes

orangecrush - sick bobbers!!

messa - triumphs use chains, so I wouldn't really know from experience. However, those beemers and harleys hold up for thousands of miles, so perhaps even longer thank some chains. Less maintenance for sure.

R1 looks good ;)

I got me an old cruiser! 1984 kawasaki zn700, bought it for $300 and didn't run and I fully restored it this past summer. Want to somehow take it to Sugarloaf for spring skiing, maybe my heli pro pack will work somehow? View attachment 673404

nice pics, looks like a decent amount of us newschoolers have bikes... although most of you can't use them at the moment lol..

There is another motorcycle thread on here that is around 3 pages long and was active recently on mobile otherwise would post the link for you op

When I was in Germany I had an 05 r6 raven. Did a little work to it, but not much. Still a fun bike though! But since I have left I sold it, and I bought an 08 r6 raven. She is sitting home in storage waiting for me for when I get back from Korea in 8 months. Already dropped about 2k in parts on her just waiting for me to put on. I'm going to turn it into a a barely street legal race bike, since I will be down in Florida after Korea. So riding year round will be nice. But here are some pics of her when I was just home a few months ago.

Real man ride all the time, no matter the weather and season. Especially in the city, dodging SUV's and driving over wet tramcar tracks is exhilarating, the margin for error is smaller then the time it takes for your organs to arrive to arrive at the hospital.

Be a rebel.

Getting a bike very soon in the process of doing research. This thing looks AWESOME. Is it street legal? Really exactly what im looking for...something like this or a badass cruiser. Test drove some crotch rockets and those things are just to dam fast I turn into a maniac on motorized things I would kill myself very quickly

Any opinions on the honda from? They look fun as hell and its either that or the cbr300f for me

Yeah I'm not planning on any road trips but it would be nice to be able to actually ride the bike on the highway. Only way the grom is going to do that to bore the crap out of it.

And even then I still don't think I would ride it on the freeway

Yeah it's either that or I'm gonna do work on my car, catback, bigger intercooler, plastidip, stereo, etc.

Ive pretty much been through every dirtbike and crotch rocket on the market. Mine is street legal but it has street tires instead of dirt/dual sport tires so it grips the street like a crotch rocket would only im on a dirtbike. Look up SuperMoto on youtube. Its light(er), agile, and when(not if) I dump it instead of paying $600+ for fairings it would cost about $150 to replace the plastics. Cheap to maintain and the DRZ has a bullet proof motor. I was going to buy a KTM 525 and convert it to a SM but this deal popped up that I couldnt refuse. Plus it has all the mods done to it to make it more peppy so its pretty much a turn key bike for $3k.

Honda groms are pretty sweet but only if youre riding around town. that 125CC motor wont get you going very fast and im sure it wouldnt be able to handle the highways. Id like to get one just to mess around on but maybe one day if i can afford to just toss money away on multiple bikes. I had a CBR600 and it was a great bike. You wont be disjointed with what honda has to offer for the CBR300. Yamaha also has an R3 now which is pretty sexy. The only problem with the beginner bikes is after one riding season youre going to want to upgrade and you probably wont get back exactly what you want for the bike. Everyone says start off on a 250 but I started on a 600 and I was fine you just have to take it easy.

Yeah I think this summer I'm just going to getting my car above 350 hp. I'll save the extra and get a r6 or the cbr600 next year.

I just picked up a 1978 Yamaha DT100 enduro. The stokage is through the roof for my first bike!!! I decided to go with a brand new matte black condor helmet.

I'm just starting to look into jackets/pants. Any recommendations?
