Motorcycle???

Hey...so I am feed up with my car, with traffic and with vehicle issues. ANND GAS.

Has anyone switch to motorcycle only?
I worried for when i want to go somewhere with someone or...have stuff to transport. i would mostly only be using it for the summer, but lots of commuting from vancouver to whistler and visa versa. I'd also be looking at a dual sport bike....any word on these whihc ones are sick? I already own suzuki so i was thinking of getting a dr z 400.

I would probably keep your car and get a less expensive, lower maintenaence bike than the one you pictured. That thing looks sick for racing, but not for commuting. I ride a KX250F, but I am thinking about a mid eighties cafe racer style bike for getting around, the traffic where I live is probably the worst of any colorado mountain town. I need to keep my truck for moving shit like snowmobile, dirtbike, DH bikes, going distance in the winter, ect. I found a cheap 1983 Goldwing last summer. Not the kind that may as well be a small car, this one was pretty lean looking.
 
I was thinking about doing the same thing, I can get an atk set up like the one pictures fpor cheap so ill probably get it
 
i ride dirt bikes and i know its different from street bikes, but i cant imagine how scary it might be to ride on the freeway at 75 mph. hell 30 feels fast on the dirt
 
ya id definitly stay away from a dirt bike for commuting lol. i just got a yamaha r6 and its bomb. what kinda suzuki you have?
 
i ride everyday to work in the summer and its saved some much on gas plus its just fun. i just picked a drz 400 supermoto like the one in the pic. If you are gunna be ridin around town goin 40 and under then get a sumo (supermoto) but if you are gunna do highway most of the time then a sport bike would be good.
