Motorcycle insurance

so, how much do you pay for motorcycle insurance? I want to buy a bike in the spring, but if insurance is going to bend me over and have its way with my backside i might think differently.

my brother can fill his tank and go 200 miles for 8 bucks on his fz1, so cruising around the country sounds soooo bomb to me.

i was just wondering how much any of you pay for insurance, and if its more expensive if you're a minor

i just got my bike last summer.. i was 18 at the time and insurance was cheaper than it was for my car.. it was around 400/year or something.. i have a few speeding tickets though so its prob more expensive than others out there

my dad has a bike i can ride so i think i am going to get my liscense in the summer, i ride dirt bikes and shit so i already know how and its sooo much cheaper on gas on stuff it will save me so much money. and for the insurance it depends what state you live in and if you get like insurance just for health or for the bike itself also but it shouuld be under 500 a year.

is it hard to learn how to ride if you have an idea of how it works? i wanna get one for this spring/ summer a cheap low powered bike for cruisin around town but idk how to ride a motorcycle

^^^ Id suggest learnin on a smaller offroad bike, instead of just hoppin on the road. You'll get the feel for a bike, then move onto the bigger road motorcycle.

for my 01 r1 i pay somethin like 320 a year for liability. they wanted me to pay something like 270 a month for full coverage. fuck that.

We just got a Ducati 900 Monster but it was late in riding season so we'll just wait till next year to get insurance, but Idk wat it'll be.

Word,me too. Your life is cheap, bike is worth more to them.

I pay $550/year for my bike.....and $1300/year for my 2003 civic, haha.

Both are insured for liability only.
