perhaps someone harvets seal pelts to support their family?

seals, chicken, lions, bears, cows, turkey. whats the difference? why do seal hunters get ostracized?
 
You don't know what your talking about, there's millions of seal. And they don't even get hurt, they just die, when they are clubbed.Its lest painful for them to get club then to get shot.
 
Im not a peta member here or anything, but clubbing is definetly more painful than shooting. the reason they dont shoot them is because they dont want the furs full of holes and they dont wanna scare away othre seals with the gunshot, it has nothing to do with the humanity of it. I still really dont care about it, and I know that seal furs get a lot of money, and keep the population from getting rediculous, but Its not the kind of painless death you explained it as
 
^^No dude, it depends of where they hunt. If they hunt in the St-Lawrence Golfe thats where they club the seals if the hunters go more towards the sea its really dangerous because of the waves under the ice. I saw a documentry on seal hunting, what really makes me wanna puke is that the animal rights group are using people that makes 30K-40K per year to feed their entire family while the animals rights group makes millions telling lies crap to Europeens.

And its not more painful because the skull of the seal is really thin, one good wack and their done.

You're jumping to alot of conclusions there...think of being clubbed, blunt force trauma to the head would be so quick that they most likely feel nothing, by the time the information is processed and the pain would be felt, they are already dead. And shooting is not a painless death either, if the shot was placed badly (not a head/vital organ hit)they would suffer before possibly bleeding to death or dying from shock. Don't be so quick to judge, it's the cycle man. Populations must have something controlling them, otherwise they would get too large and then they would be dying from starvation because the food supply wouldn't be able to support the number, and that's a far worse death than shooting or clubbing.
