Motion tracking titles.

I have noticed lately that motion tracking in titles has greatly improved. For example Evan and Zac have come out with a few video with flawless motion tracking. I was wondering if anyone had a solid guide on how to do motion tracking with titles? I am working in Premiere mostly, can get after affects if needed. Thank you.

Like by just keyframing? No way. I've done that before, its awful. Just look it up on youtube and use after effects its actually pretty simple.

*motion tracking is so EASY right now.

cs6 has an amazing 3d camera solver/tracker that is incredibly smooth with the right shots. i was able to track some 3d shots that would have been such a pain without it in this vid i just recently finished. i love the new tracking for titles/credits and adding in other stuff

This is somewhat true. Its 1000 times better than cs5 but it was pretty doable then too. But, 3d camera tracker in cs6 is phenomenal you just have to find the right point and you're set.

Slight exaggeration, sure it's a hell of a lot better, especially as it changes angle and size of the text as the camera moves, and it works with a lot more clips, but cs5 wasn't that bad.

Definitely get after effects. Though cs6 has the built in camera tracker, cs5 would work fine also since you can use plug ins like camera tracker (http://www.thefoundry.co.uk/products/cameratracker/ really easy to torrent if you still only have cs5). With premiere I think you can do the warp stabilizer and some basic keyframing (like animating the opacity and basic movement, or keyframing effects to change over time), but ae is much easier.

There's definitely some tutorials out there (youtube search cs6 motion tracking) but its really intuitive. Just go for it. If you don't know how to do it you just add the effect camera track (forget the exact title), wait for it to load, and then click on the track points that you want to use and select create text from tracking points. Pretty easy to figure out.

i watched a tutorial once but skimmed through it a lot just to see what buttons to click basically. its literally a three step process,

animation>track camera>let it solve it all for you>select points and add a null layer or text
