It usually comes in handy to know some stuff about this when taking pics of buddys and ski/snowboard whatever gets you going.

It is a easier to take a shot of some riding a rail nuff said. But when it comes to the big air trick shots. What I like to do is snap the pic on my digi cam just as there leaving the lip of the jump or pipe lip. Usually with a digital camera it takes a fraction of a second to actually snap the pic from when you press the botton and noramlly I wind up getting nice shots.

the delay is only with digital point and soots. (mostly) with a DSLR theres next to nothing delay time...

taking it to the next level (motion grpahics) check out ian ruhter's project for vans, "a lucid dream" (snowboard movie). the entire thing is online on itunes or the compressed version on myspace http://www.myspace.com/ianruhter.

mind blowing editing and commitement to the project, for sure. traditional snow film-wise, it is a bit weak with 1/2 of it focusing on andreas and then everyone else having super quick parts. the girls in sarajevo would have stolen the movie if it had been longer.

it definitely is something to appreciate. music is good too.
