Most underrated/ unknow actors?

ill start with cillian murphy. he started his bigtimemovie role as the main character in 28 days later, an incredible movie that is underrated itself imo, and played the billionaires son in the movie inception.

even tho hes known by many ,second would be robert carlysle who plays francis bagby,the meathead in trainspotting, and also played in great movies nobody knows about like 21 grams with samuel l jackson.

3rd i would say is august diehl who plays the ss nazi in the bar shootout scene in the movie inglourious bastards. Even tho he plays the bad guy, it is by far the best performance in the movie. watch the scene again and youll see what im on about. hes also played great roles in the counterfeiters, and other german movies.

4 vinnie jones former pro soccer player known as the dirtiest player ever, and most badass actor in the uk if not the world in snatch and lock stock and 2 smoking barrels

im probly forgetting some people... robert duvall in apocalypse now and the godfather 1 and 2, im probly missing some.

anybody have other underrated actors in mind?

 
philip seymour hoffman.dude is always in fringe movies or as a supporting character. he's a good actor. watch capote, and he was good even in charlie wilson's war.

Vinnie Jones isn't unknown or underrated. Just because he's not big over in murica doesn't mean he isn't well known elsewhere. lol And he wasn't the dirtiest player ever, he was just very aggressive.
 
Are you shitting me? that guy is in like two scenes.

Obviously Christopher Waltz was the best in that movie.

damian lewis is a top contender but yeah, this guy definitely wins. i dont even know his name lol
 
nvm just looked it up and I have definitely heard of Giovanni Ribisi before. but he still kills it

also fuck i forgot timothy spall. he is the friend of tom cruise in vanilla sky who wrestles the company back into cruises control. also noah taylor, the guy on the elevator scene in vanilla sky-hes been in some other movies. also pretty much every actor in layer cake
 
yeah man! i like cillian murphy alot as well. great acting. saw him first in that batman begins movie.
 
ben affleck is definitely not unknown

and people don't hate him. his last movie was The Town and that shit was cray.
