Most underrated ski company???

I'd say Amplid... and for those of you who say moment... I'd argue that they're almost overrated. If you look at it realistically, even though they are a sick underground company (and I think its super cool what they're doing), skis that are home made in a press like they use just aren't as consistent and don't stand up to the they beating and hard skiing that other more massed produced skis can. I've heard more bad than good about the quality of moment skis from trade show goers and friends.
 
Although I love and ski ON3P, I actually have to say the Faction is more underrated. You hardly see or hear anything about those guys. They skis are great, and the people who run and rep them are fucking cool guys.
 
you know that indie ski companies use the same tooling and mfg processes as large ski companies right?

and that if you are competent as a ski builder you can make skis that are consistent....

and the statement suggesting they cannot take the same beating as a mass produced ski is sort of ridiculous.

Ever heard of igneous? Praxis? Just like moment, these companies make bomber skis that are definitely beefier that 90% of the skis being mass produced.
 
Liberty. Everyone hates on them from quality issues they had 4 years ago. They make bad ass skis now. Way under rated.
 
Icelantic and Moment. I don't think Icelantic has come up once yet. They have some cool sticks, especially if you're short or in tight ass trees.
 
I am really stoked on Bluehouse skis personally. Their sticks look pretty solid this year, ended up buying a pair. I really think that most all of the companies listed in this thread should not be judged prematurely...like Boone for example, they may have a weird line up of skinnier skis only (93mm underfoot max), but give them a year like Bluehouse, and their stick will be all over the place. I saw some new, rockered PMGears today, those looked pretty sick too. Every new ski company deserves a chance, I didn't like Moment the first time I saw them, but they have totally proven me wrong.

I have never seen this level of craftmanship in a park ski. You can really tell a lot of people worked very hard on this ski.
 
lol good one. I'm gonna go with Atomic. They have a lot of awesome stuff and a sweet team but they still are really underrated.

My watch lifes held up great last year even with the cap on mostly park riding.
I can't wait to try my live life 2s either haha. Surface is the shit.

Iggy's right though there are a lot of small indie companies that are building kick ass skis. They are able to give flex and material choices unlike the bigger mainstream companies

They're are being built by fellow skiers with soul in the USA

Unlike a lot of companies who are selling skis that are made in china by Well I'm not sure who is actually building those skis maybe they are importing skibum labor.

We are stoked to be able to provide skiers an opportunity to demo some sweet indie skis here in the Wasatch. We hope to be able to expand the brands we now carry to include ON3P Bluehouse and Moment
