Most under rated resorts!

What are your opinions of the most under rated resorts?

My tope 5 under rated

1- Big Sky Montana it’s literally a hidden gem my favorite ski area)

2- White Fish Montana (Notice a theme here?)

3- Schweitzer Ski Area ,Idaho

4- Anthony Lakes Oregon (small but damn it is good)

5- Banff, Alberta

How is Big Sky underrated??? >4000' vert, over >400" snow, in-season tix = $135-145 (walk up), and >500,000 skier visits per year. People go there...and not b/c it's underrated.

And Banff??? Do you even know what "under-rated" means???

Alpine Meadows! Squaw's equally hot little sister with glasses who somehow doesn't get as much attention

For sure. Also I think Sierra doesnt get enough credit. Way better than heavenly and northstar and for some reason those places draw crowds.

Any small isolated resort that gets good amounts of snow. Less bells and whistles the better. Old lifts, bad food, crusty employees, and shitty grooming often good indicators.

Snitches get stitches... -.-

Whatever. It's a long ways from the airport so if people put the effort in to get to ALMR then more power to 'em. Powder wrote them up as the 'most lovable ski area in America' way back in 1969 and I don't think they've changed anything.

June Mountain. 40 minutes from Mammoth but always empty, it's not that big but I've gotten bluebird first tracks three days after a storm before. True, it's mostly flat but J1 and J7 have good ass terrain and J7 is only a 3 minute lift ride + no line at the bottom = laps all day. Plus, June has some of the best lift accessed side country in California.
