Most un-legit ski company

im pretty sure volkl owns elan. or at least they used to. elan makes sick race skis, my brother used to have elan twins, they had metal plates underfoot, wierd.

nobody's said Nordica yet?.......Nordica........and to sort of branch from just the skis, underarmor is the least core outerwear brand marked toward skiers of the newschoolers comunity...
 
nordica's fucking sick. Like, easily my favorite big mountain ski is the enforcer...and that's why I bought it.

underarmour makes dope...well under armour. outergear is probably good quality too. Don't rag on it before you try it.

Volkl has never owned Elan, Elan is owned by the Slovenian government.

N u might not know but their magtraction seems to be working great since next year rossi, gnu and dc snowboards will all have magtraction. And they are bringing this this stuff to their skis and adding new technologie to our sport. I for one couldnt be happier to see lib teck working on some skis

And no i havent try their skis yet, but their new tech on their snowboards are selling like mad

I have 4 pairs of Armada skis, and they are the shit. How can you say anything about how a ski is made by skiing on it once, or say they ski crappy when they ski like a ski?

Theyve been putting out amazing product since the jump. Also, who is more core than a company started by atheletes, who happen to be running the sport, who happen to win all the awards and contests, and didnt sell out to K2?

If you want to say line isnt core and makes a shitty product... youre right. even Karma for you.
 
i never had hart skis before but dont they make good mogul skis and not actual twin tips?
 
ok there seems to be a misunderstanding here. pretty much what ski company do you think has done the least for newschool skiing and why.

i said elan because, yes they do make a ton of other skis for companies, but they aren't OUT there promoting thier product in media aimed at our demographic. that sends the message to me that they dont care.

however i have heared good things about the mo2
 
i think we're talking about what company makes the worst twins and/or does the least to promote our sport and/or treats their customers the worst...not hating on racers for skiing elan
 
Save for a bad topsheet that chips like a mofo, I like my pair a lot. ON3P is definitely less legit. I hear they make skis in a shop the size of an outhouse.
 
kastle makes really legit skis they are hand crafted in switzerland and the quality is sooooo legit. Unlike all those fag salamon and k2 skis that are mass produced in china.

I don't really know how you can say that CoreUPT is the most un-legit company. You have never ridden their skis, you don't know shit about them, next year is there first year and they are trying to be an up and coming company... You have no grounds for saying they are un-legit...
 
nah no way. I just copped a pair of Blizzard poachers and they seem so sick. i'm testin em out for the first time at camp in 2 days and i'm so stoked. just lookin at em they seem like they're gonna ride nice. i'm happy i decided to give em a chance and hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised
 
Most of you guys who are hating on Elans, are hating on them because you have never even ridden them, Elan is probably one of the most legit ski companys out there, they make a ski for everyone, whether its urban, pipe, park, big mountain, skiercross, and yes racing to. Elans will hold up to any thing and if you have any problems just send your skis in and they will send you new ones, (unless its rider default, such as landing on a rock from 20 foot cliff.) Elan is also new in the freestyle world but once people start riden and the word gets out, Elan will be just as big here as they are in the racing world.
 
All the things that you said, right there, all those things... is pretty much the definition of what un-legit would be.

Plus Candide is so played. Company hopper. Everytime the guy hits a jump he switches his skis.
 
so are we going least legit or least core cuz they are two different things. Salomon K2 rossi dynastar all those brands arent really "core". they are huge

as for least legit, 9thward for fucking ns over.
 
so clearly because they support a guy who has been doing the same tricks for years (steezy absolutely) but in no way really progressing the sport, in fact he kinda dropped off the map for a while, that makes it ok to fuck over one of the biggest peices of the industry.
 
more specifically:

Elan for giving Brad Holmes a pro model for the '09 season, not sure what they're trying to progress there.

and

Ninthward, for bringing such a ridiculous image to our sport and making a crappy product that breaks, although I have heard that their warranty dept kicks ass.
