Most stacked ski team

I came across this old edit today and it got me wondering, what brand had the best skiers on it at the time? This is the edit I saw and it makes a strong case for Armadas 2012 team

Armada for sure. Got street skiers in Phil and Hornbeck. Got backcountry in Sammy. Do it all legends in Henrik and Tanner. Even comp presence in Torin and Henrik (again). Any discipline of freeskiing Armada has one of the top athletes signed.

k2:

Jake Carney

Colby Stevenson

Sean Petit

Joona Kangas

Joss Christensen

Kai Mahler

Sean Jordan

Hugo Burvall

Karl Fostevedt

Clayton Villa

and I know I’m missing several others

Carney yee

Armada has the Big 3: Tanner, Henrik, and Phil

That being said, idk about any other super iconic skiers they have, although I'm not well versed in skiing pros.

And then there’s Tof Henry, who is literally insane in the shit he skis

Line is in the mix but ON3P captures there market of “weird” skiing now making them dated , Volkl has a strong comp scene . Truth be told never really knew K2 was solid untill this thread. That being said Armada and Faction have the best in my mind.

Though choice between Armada and k2. They have the skiers I grew up watching, who are still ripping. i have 3 of Sean’s pro model skis and couple posters of tanner hall in the garage. Faction has some amazing skiers but unfortunately so does volkl (Johnny throws some of the biggest 3s I have seen if he does not break himself, and Markus Eder cause I’m he’s italian and I’m Italian so need to rep my country , and Birk Ruud, met him and is such a cool guy)

Head has a pretty stacked team as well with the new free ride guys and I think Jon is still technically on their team.

For what I like in skiing ( backcountry and big mountain) Salomon has some pretty bomb guys and so does black crows (IMO Amba is a rad guy- look at his snowcat thing and dome)

Atomic need to get a mention for henrik windsted (legend) and Arianna tricomi ( 3 back to back FWT Titles ) and driving women’s skiing.

But I guess undisputed best team of skiing is Red Bull

Magnus, Mango, Hackel and most of the others are dope but to compare them to legends like THall/BDog/Harlaut or even the older K2 teams is disrespectful.

You forgot a couple.

Like Glen Fucking Plake. And Doug Fucking Coombs.

Shane didn't overlap with those two legends on k2, he was still on Volant creating the machete and spatula at the time.

Yoke Collection makes my favorite edits so I'd throw em up there. In terms of most stacked team it would definitely come down to Armada and ON3P.

On3p has a dank team including my fave skier (hackel) but comparing them against edollo and phil is kinda wack

When did shane move to k2 and when did those guys leave (I know Doug died)?

Armada no doubt

they got dollo, hall, Bdog, boberg, ware,, kilbride ...

armada is also hooking up retired skiers who come beck for a day or two, or just someone who got dropped by all their sponsors (Flynn and compton for example) they also support artists (madsteez) and photographers (Perron)

k2 used to be the shit a couple years ago too when they had the stept boys ( Jordan, vila, Owens, Riley, Flynn)

Idk about other people but ON3P and Line give me very different vibes as brands. They are both very unique to me.

Yeah, I think he was inferencing that neither are really comp skis (knuckle huck excepted) but they really are totally different skis and different styles of their riders. They each have their niche

I agree they are different I’m just saying in 2010-2015 Line was the New wave ski of choice and captured what was then their Moto of skiing weird. Think traveling circus era . Now I think ON3P captures what we consider new wave today think magnus. Both brands capture a creative brand of skiing that is missed by mainstream brands or not high lighted as much.

True, but new wave in 2010-2015 is definitely a different style and aesthetic than new wave in 2015-present

Back in the day Salomon had a stacked team (talking like 07-10). I'll surely miss some names but the ones I remember:

Matt walker

Dane Tudor

Sammy C

Dumont

Martini

Alexis Godbout

Gagnier

Kaya turski

Harlaut - did he ever ride thief skis or was it just outerwear?

Abma

Bobby brown

I think Henrik just was sponsored for outerwear, he was riding for 9th ward at the time I believe and then went to Armada

That sounds right. Still a stacked team nonetheless.

So it only comes down to Henrik and Phil?... both those teams are heavy af- don’t even try and pretend ON3P 3 wasn’t one of the illest movies you’ve seen (if you have).

besides, Henrik and Phil don’t have shit on Muppet Ian

I never said i have anything against on3p, in fact i absolutely loved on3p 4 and its prolly my fav ski movie, but its pretty undisputable that armada has a insanely stacked team releasing crazy good content

Insanely stacked for different reasons? could you really argue if one is better than the other because of how different they are?

this thread on its own is entirely opinion based (the fact people brought up K2 shows). We could argue forever about what actually makes a good team or why we think that but in the end we would all have different thoughts. To me Yoke Co has the most stacked team because they have a lot my favorite pros and I really fuck with their videos a ton but to you it would be Armada for whatever reason you haven’t listed.

Im gonna go old school Dynastar. Candide, Mickael Deschenaux, Dave Crichton, Tanner Rainville, Corey Vanular, 3 Phils, Nobis...
