ok, its a long story, but listen up

So im chillen at my house, doing nothing, i live on main st, so its right in the center of town, its so quiet cus its a sunday night at 1 in the morning, my 2 buddies are in town, i tell them to come over, cus i stayed in tonight. They drive in my driveway, turn the lights off cus i didnt want my parents to wake up. Anyways, we decied to go out and chill on my porch, cus i do all the time and its really chill and fun and The Porch is close to the street. Were sitten, talken haven a good time. I see a figure in the woods, so i yell, what the hell, like who is that, its mad sketch cus why the fuck would someone be chilling at 1 in the morning? ITS A FUCKING COP. he runs to my porch saying hey guys whats goen on, what are you doing whats goen on here, i spaz, cus its my house were doing nothing my parents are home. He goes to my friends searches them, finds weed on them. 5 more cop cars show up. Im flipping out cus they have no reason to walk onto my property to bust them, and to do this.

This is where it gets even more fucking gay

As I am asking this fucking pig cop why he had reason to search us, he keeps trying to avoid it, untill he makes this shit up. He says he saw their car roll in to my driveway, and that he saw the lights turn off, i mean, who the fuck doesnt turn off their lights??????? He said he thought we were going to rob my house, yeah my house, why the fuck would i do that. So he claims that gives him enough reason to search them.

In the end i didnt get charged for anything, just my 2 friends, who were charged for large amounts of weed. I have to wake my parents up, who were furious cus the cops were here.

This is the most ridiculous shit that has ever happened to me. Me and my friends and brothers always chill on the porch, I live in the most low key town, were all that ever goes on is underage drinking and smoking, im not sayin im not part of that, but thats all cops in my town are out to bust. I know theres been all those other cop posts out there, but this just really angers me, and i appreciate you guys readen it, it feels nice to be able to let everything out.
 
thats shitty dude, i hate how you read these stories and its like theres nothing you can do they just stall and like use their title when you ask about when they are at fault like searching you guys without reason. in my town theres only like 800 people tho, whci sucks in a way but it alsom means there are no cops, and i mean no cops, if something happens they have to drive from the closest staion a half hour away lol.
 
that sucks....he needed a warrant to be on your property and you should make him aware of that
 
well homie, you're friends obviously aren't very smart. in fact, i'm gonna wager that they're pretty much a bunch of bitches. they allowed a cop search them, while they're carrying weed, on your porch. how about standing up to the cop and rationally explaining it's your place, that nothing is wrong and that he's on private property, and then going inside? talk about self preservation...
 
Are you serious, you think i fucking didnt do that?? They are the police and they can do whatever the fuck they want, I told him he has no right being here, i told him he has no right to search us? you think he cared? he did it anyway, sorry but i dont have the balls to push a cop away from me

why are you apologizing? say what you wanna say! this is exactly what i was talking about in my first post, stop being a little bitch. and i don't mean that in an offensive way, but bro, your homies managed to get charged by a random cop on your front porch because none of you had the intellectual smarts to avoid the worst case scenario. clearly this is a huge lesson, and you can either shake your fist at god and ask why the sky only falls on you, or you can tape steps from this experience and learn to stand up for yourself.

oh and by they way, if the account you gave was the truth, hire a lawyer and get those charges dropped as soon as you can. that situation is NOT worth having a criminal record over.
 
Well, lets see. You're being a bit insensitive. Because if I wanted to search you, I'm sure I could pull any reason out of my ass, and what would you say? No? What are you going to do about it. Hit the cop? Run from him? You can say no all you want, but if he 'has a reason' then he's more than in his legal safety net to drop your ass like a bad habit, zip-cuff your dumb ass, and have his way anyway. Or, you can knock him the hell out, IF you can physically do so, and then you stash your herb or whatever. Then, you get to have fun trying to defend yourself against assault charges instead of getting evidence thrown out because of unlawful search and seizure.

Oh, but I see, being reserved at least while this jackass cop is hassling you is 'being a pussy'. It's easy for you to say. I personally would let him find whatever he wants, and have the case thrown the hell out in court based on the fact that he had no right to be there, instead of duffing him and walking into the courtroom with the reputation of being a dumbass proceeding you. I'm a 150lb kid and the only way I could drop a 250lb NYPD cop is a gun or a knife, so yeah lets throw a punch, give him the reason to stomp your lanky ass, then zip cuff all three of you, and instead of paying a spot fine you get to go directly to jail on aggrivated assault.

its funny how much effort cops put in to stop something, as silly as 3 friends hanging out on a front porch. why dont they go out and stop some real crimes? this is why i hate cops
 
cops dont need a warrant to go on your porch. reasonable suspicion is the vague word they use that allows them to search you. sorry man, shit sucks. too bad you're not black, otherwise you couldve gotten al sharpton on your side.
 
Well, lets see. You have a bit of a reading problem. Lanks said nothing about "knocking the cop out". He simply pointed out that these kids weren't using intellectual smarts to work their way out of the situation. They didn't take the time to rationally explain to the cop what they were doing. Chances are in a small town, the cops don't see more than a speeding car. So when it's one A.M on a Sunday, and they see a couple kids pulling into a driveway, looks kinda suspicious. These guys could have easily tried to explain to the cops what the real situation was.

And if you wanna listen to people on a ski forum, only listen to the ones who make sense and can quote reply with real answers. Not taking what someone said out of proportion.
 
Yeah he should of just gone with the whole thing, and then in court brought out the fact the the cop was an asshole, and try to get the cop fined or whatever there
 
it sucks how the cops who are full of shit ruin everything good cops do. that really sucks man, sounds to me like he had no probable cause to search you. there was no evidence to lead them to believe that any one of you was doing anything illegal. tell your friends to get attorneys and fight it.
 
cops are fucking stupid as fuck. You should have just walked inside and locked the door before he searched you. god that pisses me off.
 
my brother tried to use his rights and decline an unreasonable search of his house and the cop said he would get a judge and get a warrant and fuck him over twice as hard. so then he told the cop they could discuss it in his alcove (not even attatched to the house) the cop came in and took it as permission to search the entire place and y brother got 5 tickets for various things.
 
i think you could be able to get the charges dropped if you fight that there was not much evidence and also his supports for his search are unreasonable. he was watching you guys talking on the porch just having fun. shouldn't that give away you weren't robbing your own house?
 
in Canada that would never happened, in my home town cops are pretty relax when it comes to weed. And here they can't search you for having doubts that you smoke weed.
 
are your for real? He said nothing about physically assaulting a cop, lanks was just saying stand up for yourself. If a cop comes on to your property to search you and does not have a warrant then they have no right to be there. but now that its said and done, they need to hir e alawyer and get this shit thrown out. now your rights. most cops are respectable but some are dickheads, so when those cops come around your have to let them know you know whats up.

wow that is just the example of a cop that is power-hungry. but man, you couldve walked into your house with your friends and said fuck you buddy, come back with a warrant! just tell them exactly what happened if you go to court (which you definately should man) and that he did that just to be a dick, because he knew hed find something. anyways, he had no probable cause to do it, tell them that no matter what he says its true. plus he came on YOUR property, it didnt happen in public. you told him not to and he still did, personally i think a suspension would be worthy for that fucker.
 
yea.. thats illegal.. on the cops part because they had no reason to search your pals, they should no their rights and refuse a search.. but the probably wont get charged for that reason.. i dono thoughl. cray.

Third, if you know your rights you can get out of almost anything regardless how big an asshole the po-9 are. They have rules that they have to abide by and if you play by their rules, you're gold pony boy.

you should have walked even ran inside stashed the weed. If the cops rang the door bell, get your parents. when the cops woukld have seen them, do you think they would have done anything?
 
this is why i hate most cops, yes they are needed to stop real things like drunk driving, violence ect. but hiding in the woods and watching a couple of kids hang out and talk or w/e is bullshit, oh and you are definitly fighting this in court your friends will win the case easily

Know your rights and you won't have a problem. If you can't do it by yourself, sign up for a Constitutional Law class at the local Community College or something.

What lanks said is exactly right: you tell him it's your place, say you'll go get your parents if he'd like, and no, he's not allowed to come inside or search anyone. If he "does it anyway" he loses his job and you sue him for large sums of money. What the hell are you thinking? Go inside. He can't just come into your house.
