What do you thin they were? I know i certainly think there are a few skis which shaped ski design and most of the skis being produced today.

My list(in no specific order):

-Volant Spatula:First R/R ski.

-Salomon Pocket Rocker:First BC jib ski.

-Atomic Powder Plus:First real fat, straight ski.

-Volkl Explosive:First straight, stiff, charging orientated ski.

-Line 1260:First fully symmetrical park ski.

-Rossignol Scratch FS

-K2 hellbent/EP Pro(whichever was first):First soft, rockered super fat BC jib ski.

-Rossignol S7:First ski to incorporate rocker, camber, and reverse sidecut.

-K2 Seth Pistol: Pretty much what most of the 1 ski quiver skis are based off.

-Prophet 130 was the first real fat pow ski.

-Afterbang construction wise

-Elan MO2 with the extra set of edges underfoot, kind of a gimmick but that was a sweet ski.

-Lizzie

-Invader

-Fischer 207 with the fin and boat hull shaped tip, even though its not around anymore, the watea 114 has those characteristics, and no other skis have taken similar types of technology.

correct me if im wrong but werent the reno rockers out before the alpha 1's? And I believe the EP Pro's were before the hellbents, but i could be wrong there too

You are right, i'm not sure why scratch fs is there. I meant to type 1080, but that somehow came out.

I gotta say the two biggest ones are:
the volant spatula- first rocker/r everse camber ski
Salomon 1080- first twin tip

the first salomon skis in the 90s with cap construction had a pretty big impact on the whole ski industry, pretty much the reason why theyre the largest ski company
afterbangs too guy... first skate deck construction ski, pretty dang progressive

I don't know too much about ski-history,but skis that in my eyes have revolutionized the sport are the volant spatula, daring waterski designs by the great Mcconkeythe salomon 1080, first? twintip?, definately the ski that blew up the twintip design...
And the hellbent, dunno if this is correct, but this ski's been around quite some time and a lot of pow-skis got their inspiration from or have definately been influenced by the hellbents....at least that's my feeling....
hellbents were rockered and quite popular before every company started making at least one rockered pow ski....

yeah, i don't know that much about em, but it feels like they were the first rockered ski that led the way for other companies to do the same..... (that actually had succes):)

Hellbents came before EP's, but before Hellbents they were rockering MaidenAK's as prototypes for a few years. Those were fun.

volant spatula for sure

also armada jj/rossi s7 with the tapered tip and tail/elf shoe design, that's just growing more and more and it's gonna become a common design
