Bottom line the real question is:

What have you left for the future generation of skiers?

Design a product, count some bills and get your sponsors paid. Great you did the professional part of sponsorship but have you done the community part by giving back something? Have you pushed even a small piece of skiing in a NEW direction?

Icons

Icons get it paid and give back just by doing what they do.

Pros should ask themselves.. how do give back in an iconic way? Only a handful will ever accomplish this. These people will never be overrated.

I would agree with whoever said the media has some responsibility for this. Hype a skier who isn't truly deserving and you just create a monster.

i agree. hes got that attitude of a jock. if he didnt ski i could picture him wearing polos or ralph lauren shit all popped collar and what not, having a chill brodeo with all his football cronies.

how can you say nick mercon? if im not mistaken, he was doin cork 1260 tail grabs in halfpipe about 7 years ago........and they were good and grabbed. Not like the shit happening right now

i have big respect for all the pros out there especially innovative guys like jon & charles gagnier (most underated)
 
k im gonna full out change my mind to anthony boronowski.

he's a chill dude and all with a sick company but i haven't seen anything THAT impressive for a couple years now. no amazing seggies or amazing tricks, just average pow riding and average tricks...

It was a joke. I like Nick Mercon and if you have ever seen the guadamalan persueader, you think he is awesome too. it was funny cause you don't reallly hear from him anymore, well, after his video game section in Freeze.
