Most over rated skier right now?

I recently saw a most under rated skier thread so i thought i'd make a most over rated skier thread to do with it. Who do you guys think it is?

haha thought of doing that thread when I saw the underated one. There's a couple of skiers out there that whatever they'll put out they'll have a ton of upvotes. Like Mcveigh or Talkington, they're both really good, but they can put out an edit filmed in 5 runs without even trying and get 300 upvotes

I don't think McVeigh is overrated... do you have any idea how difficult the shit he does is?

Oh I'm aware that he does really hard stuff, but is it that hard anymore for him? He's for sure unique and doing his own thing, my point is whatever he puts out, people will go bananas. If I take some of my favorite skiers, I'm for sure hyped when they put something out, but I'm not always 100% stoked or amazed on their edit or part, sometimes yes, but to me, you got to have your own opinion, it can't be I'm a 100% hyped or not on that skier

What kind of hateriffic bullshit is this? There are no overhyped skiers, since nobody in skiing gets shit but props anyways. Anybody that gets love from anybody here did something to earn it, fuck you if you think it wasn't good enough. Keep that shit to yourself unless you can do better.

its pretty hard to consider anyone overrated in an industry where the majority of "pros" can't even live off of the money they make from skiing.

best part is is that he doesn't really give a shit about comments on NS

You pretty much just described henrik. Yeah what he does is different, but I feel like nose buttered tricks are given too many points in big air competitions.

Go Ham Sam is very overrated. Everyone thinks he's the best skier on the mountain (because that's what he says) but he actually sucks..

Have you ever tried to butter off a decent size jump? It's hard as fuck to have enough control of yourself after a nose butter to do it on a big jump imo. Now imagine doing that but going 80 plus feet and doing a triple. Fuck that.

No they're not. Nose butters are hard as fuck. You don't get any pop off the jump and pretty much slide off it.

i kinda agree. i think it isnt hard for henrik anymore to do butters off jumps even though for normal people its really hard to do haha

olympians

random girls from my school who don't ski heard i met goepper at the dumont cup and ask me about it every day

Aspen Spora. Anyone could be as good as that kid if they were given the same amount of opportunities he's given. i.e. red bull training camps, trips all around the world, skis at least 200 days a year etc.

don't complain, just roll with it and catch the overflow dude

Obviously Saga super pro Dylan Manley is overrated. Sqaure can't even backflip

On the other hand seventies ski legend Dave Manley is underrated

I spin better out of butters than not. It helps me set it. I'll say it, I think henriks over rated. Don't get me wrong, I love his personality and skiing with him on the demo tour was unforgettable. I just think the butters are getting kinda stale

The reason butters are so highly awarded in big air comps is because no one else is doing them. There's only a few other pros who have them.

Yeah he's been given a lot of opportunities, but you're hating on a 11yr old..''

No one else is doing what Vinny cash is doing, but his crazy shit is still awarded less points than the a trick henrik has done two years in a row without a grab

I always thought zahner was really dope. He has that energy in edits that remind me of matt walkers og power skiing steeze. Beast coast edits in general are great because of the fast shots and raw style/skiing. so many lines and laps with no slowed down hiked shit. I remember the filmer commenting on the fact that almost all of their filming is done during hot laps because they have limited filming time or some shit so that could be the reason for the crazy energy in their edits.

anyway i dont think any one skier is overrated but i never saw vandermeer as better than any of the other thc crew but for some reason he is suddenly a big comeup kid and is getting bigger sponsors when hes been around for so long. Theres some really crazy talent on thc but for some reason scrap has all the hype right now.

Henrik-Nose butter triple

Vinny-Double bio

Which one do you think is harder?

I don't think any skier is overrated in the world of skiing or the rest of the world looking on at skiing, but I do think that Henrik is overrated within his own little circle of homies. Like he's dope, but IMO Casabon and both the Bergeron's are just as good, and don't see anywhere near as much facetime/chedda
