Most over-rated pro?

Who do you guys think is the most over-rated pro out there? I'm not trashing them or anything cause they could surely kick my ass skiing and I'm sure they're pro for a reason. But maybe they have really good personal skills to get noticed? Or have friends in the right places? Who is overrated? I think Steele Spence is a bit overrated. Yeah he kicks it at rails but I dunno, doesnt seem like a well rounded skier. His switch bios arent too smooth and he doesnt really have a big bag of tricks and his pipe skills arent up there with the rest.

 
Candide thovex by far. Not sayin that he can't rip, its just outa all the pros, he seems to be the only one that flails, when pullin a simple toxic. He's awesome, except when it comes to smaller tricks with style.

only time ive seen candide 'flail' is when he was boostin that huge hit at superpark, and no person wouldnt have flailed, unless they were hopped up on the pcp or somthin, but if i had to pick someone itd have to b evan raps, but i havnt seen to much of him so my opinions shit

Sorry petek but I agree with the Schlong - Candide does it bigger than anybody right now (all you have to see to prove that is his SM3 seggy Superpark hits) - he may not be as smooth as Tanner or Pep but he's got some of the biggest balls on the planet.

As for my vote, I know I couldn't touch any one of those guys so I got no grounds to talk any shit. Nuf said.

Everyone's backed up Candide so I don't need to repeat how sick he is (although seriously that massive corked 5 was the first and only time I've ever seen him flail as well) but Steele is fucking sick as well man. Easily one of the best at rails and a fucking masssive switch bio 10 + a whole bag of other tricks, how can you say he's over rated?

yeh sadly i have to go with evan raps, he hasnt really been doing much lately, and i havent heard that much about him. he used to be super good, but he has just faded away, atleast from my standpoint. he used to be one of my favorite skiers to

CANDIDE GOT 20 fricking FEET OUTA THE PIPE AT THE X-GAMES!!!! That sets a new world record for any skiier OR snowboarder EVER. Thats RIPPING if you ask me , hes gotta be one of the most progressive skiers out there. AND WITH MAD STYLE TOO

 
even was soo sick in the game..i think if he worked hard enough he could be on top again..he's got the the tricks..and he's pretty damn smooth..i think if he started doing switch flats he'd be awesome

some times the jump isnt perfect and it bucks you causing you to flail, everybody flails from time to time. I dont think mosley is overrated caus nobody likes him anyway. I dont think there are any overrated riders right now, just way too many punk kids who think they are way better than they are.

hah its definately not evan in my opinion, the reason why you arent seeing much of him is because he ate shit hard and blew out his knee in the quals for the x games, i dont think anybody is overrated they have all probably worked super hard to get where they are

4 people everyones said is thovex, spence, evan raps, and moseley.. All these skiers kick ass, watch moseley and evan in any films, ski movie 1 even showcases their mad skills. Thovex boosted huge at the x games, and spence is one of the best rail sliders around.. all good skiers

it's hard to take all this stupidity - too many have shit for brains - all the pros ski are awesome - mosely may be the best skier in the world - raps has been injured - remember - he skied world cup moguls for us team at 16 - but no doubt - some pros are assholes - i nominate b easly as asshole #1

ASSHOLE #1 definitely goes to Mr. Hall for his oustanding display of wiggerism. He actually credits his new school skiing ideas to 'all tha gangsta rap' he listens to. Secondly, while everyone else seems to revere him as some god, I personally thinks he lacks the style of thovex and the rest of our frch canadian friends. He might have shocked the world with a switch rodeo7 but for the most part he is beaten at every crossroads by guys like Olson. Still, even Mr. Hall occasionaly breaks out with mad, smooth and most importantly, tweaked style.

 
tanner didn't invent the switch rodeo seven...mike laroche was doing it before him..though i don't know if mike invented it.

smiley nesbitt isn't as good as the rest of the big mountain crowd.

Moseley is a nasty skier that just got a lot of hype from sources outside of skiing. The guys on mtv for god sake. I can see how some would say he's overrated, but really, the guy brought a lot to people who wouldn't usually be watching skiing. like people watching the olympics for shits and giggles just happened to see 'freestyle skiing history' with the cork 7 or dinner roll or whatever. He still rips, and did when he was like 14. ps Candide goes huge, even when no ones watching.

It is so easy to criticize. Evan blew out his knee during the X-Games, not prior to. I think he is somewhat over-rated. He still throws backfulls and cork 9's as though they are the bomb shit. But if anyone were to throw those tricks, Evan throws them the best. He blew out his knee in FINALS of X-games...so don't forget that either. Right now, I don't even think Moseley is over-rated because he is not even 'rated' at all. Ask anyone and they will tell you that Moseley sucks now. Thats why he withdrew from Winter-X. That is just to comment on two of the names. I don't want to get into who I think is over-rated becuase it is a WASTE of my time.

i dont really think any one is over rated, but i think tanner hall get too much press and now im sick of him. but i still give mad props to the man, and he deserves every ones respect, you dont have to like him, but you still have to respect the man. and for you guys that say he doesnt have style.. what the hell are you talking about? he has some of the best style in the sport. look at his d-spin 10 in happy days. absolutley perfect

Evan Raps is definitely overrated. He's still good, but as far as being pro goes, he doesn't cross up much, throws corked spins mostly, and hasn't seemed to progress into bigger switch tricks.

Candide and Tanner aren't overrated. Both are still laying down sick runs everytime they ski. Someone mentioned Candide being in the top 3, I'd say he is on top as far as all around skiing goes. He rips everywhere, park, pipe, and backcountry.

Yeah, Evan Raps is not at the top of the scene anymore, but everyone realizes that, so i guess he is not really 'overrated' just no longer a big name star. Also Candide rips. He goes soooo big, for example Chad's Gap and the superpark hip...

Rex Thomas isnt exactly over-rated cuz he is sort of good. But how about the fact that he is worst image possible to represent skiing. Oh ya, and he does suck. Now that I think about it. No one likes him, and his girlfriend is ugly. His whole image is whack. I would rather see Tanner jamming out to like 50 Cent and smokin dubs than seeing Rex in his overly homosexual clothing throwing up the shocker every fucking chance he gets.

yeah rex, had a lotta bad luck. His section in the playground was stolen because some dumbshits misplaced the footie. He hasnt gotten a lot of exposure, not nearly as much as the other ppl in the new canadian air force. Plus he's pbly the best quarter pip artist on the planet. What do u got on rex?
