I thought I saw a thread about this not too long ago, but I can't find it. Anyone remember what it was called?

if you think johnny Mosely is that influential you might as well say Jeremy Bloom instead. I mean the sport is gonna have to change there judging system because of him. Oh, and he's a way better skier and has more people attending Mogul competitions and more money being put into these competitions then then there ever was to see Mosely.

mosely opened up everyone's eyes in the olympics. all the non-skiiers in the world were exposed

umm seth morrison is definetly influential

i never even heard of mosely when i picked up some twins. def not a big influence at all. first skiers i saw were dash in stereotype and T$ everywhere killin it!

Windells Session 3

i guess i would have to agree about moseley. or maybe, if not him, then maybe the new canadian air force (not a person but oh well)

I guess mosley used to be but not anymore. There are too many people to just say one. Candide is pushing the sport the most probably. Then there's guys like pollard and CR bringing switch skiing to the BC. It's not just one persone everybody contributes a little bit

if were talking about skiing in general its probobly bode miller just because there are a lot more racing fans than freeskiing.

dude..... to say bode miller is the most influential skiier in terms of racing is just so.... american of you. jean claude killy? stephan eberharter? even hermann maiier. the crazy canucks much? pleeze...

IAN.REED|CCR

bode ripps off killys style and applies it to parabolic skis. he isnt the first person to addopt a backseat style of racing.

IAN.REED|CCR

i would say either seth, t-money, or pollard...those thrre are at the top of my slots right now...

if we're looking for people who influenced the sport to where it is today then how about: Mike Douglas, Glen Plake, and JP Auclair, the guys who really turned the sport around.

how about jason levinthal for makin the first pair of twin tips

Snow Me Blazer

the first skiers i saw were the three phils killin the x games a long ass time ago. but for most influential i would have to go with pollard. he rips everything and brought switch in the bc to a new level.

douglas

'kevin whyed nils pull you out?' 'Cuz i was touchin bitches.' 'No seriously why did he put scott in for you.' 'Scott doesn't touch bitches.'

heh, i was just asking if anyone knew what the original thread was called, but i guess its become it. I should rephrase the title: Most influential skier to the freestyle / newschool movement...

good point about jason levinthal, he may not seem huge to most people, but yea twin tips was a pretty big stage in our sport i must say.

Lately, Tanner. Just look at how many kids ask what he was wearing in this picture, what he was wearing in that picture, how low he slid that rail, etc...

the levinthals

ill be super rich and own mt.hood and let everybody from ns ski for free... except freezed

-hoodratz47

i would say that the first person to strap wood on his/her feet and go down a hill/mountain would have to be the most influential skier.

mark

one good thing about music, when it hits you feel no pain

most influential is t-hall. when you say influential im assuming you mean towards people in general namely skiers. look at like 90% of skiing its all baggy clothing. look at all the kids who can barely ski and they're riding with "gorilla" steeze. t-hall influenced all of these people.

nickf: Why? Is it because you like your men how you like your coffee? Strong and black?

pollard came before tanner in that respect, my friend.

I guess all the young kids coming into the sport are influenced by Tanner's "gangsta" style, but for me the most influential is Jon Olsson.

as far as the baggy clothes goes. That is influenced by "snowboarding." And yes, as mentioned above Pollard had the arms down style before tanner started looking like a gorilla.

what about mike douglas?
