Most Important Thing for our sport right now

WOW... Please tell me you are not an FIS coach for the aerial team that is scared of being cut.

So, Mr acrobat, Do you think the Olympics should include skier 1/2 pipe or not and why?

I don't know if the Olympics are the right way to go. They only thing I could think when the thread creator said the Olympics was the Chinese gymnastic team that was like 7 and trained 12 hours a day for an Olympic moment. Would shit like that be actually good for Freesking?

Olympic snowboard halfpipe has proven successful, so it would work for skiing as well.

Positive-would help more skiers earn a living by skiing competitively

negative-conforms freeskiing and sells it out

"Also snowboarding still has us beat on the popularity level. I wonder if that can ever change. I know it doesn't matter to most legit kids who just do what they think is fun, but it would be cool if we overtook snowboarding in terms of popularity some day. thoughts comments?"
I have a shop all summer at Mt. Hood. Mt. Hood is a searious indicator of all things snow. Now, yes it's true more people not involved in the sport know who Sean White is and have no idea who T-Hall is, but look at Windells numbers.... More skiers than boarders for the first time ever. I pretty much am in to whatever you do is cool by me, but by far, the new "it" is def on two boards. HCSC didn't seem as busy as it was the year before from my perspective. I think Slopestyle and pipe should be in the olympics, no doubt, but X-Games will have to do for now. Give it time, the people who make up the olympic comittee just found out there is something other than boards in the park. Everything takes time.
I believe with all my heart that within two years the parks and pipes will be 80% skiers.

the most important thing for our sport is in my opinion, to get away from the classic image of either a race skier, or an aerialist. i hate it when people ask me what my hobbies are and i say freeskiing and they look at me as if i was speaking another language. i think this is what we need most.

and we dont need little gapers with twintips, but people that actually represent the sport adequately.

my 2 cents
