I have to write a little bit on who I think is the most important person in US history after World War 2. Only I dont have any idea who it could be. It could be a president, social leader, almost anyone...except elvis.

Thank you.

^ you could talk about him as president and mention his previous accomplishments such as supreme commander of allied forces in the european theater is wwii.

just do a report about the harvard mystique and focus in on a few harvard grads, such as kissinger. explore possibilities such as "would he have gotten where he did had he not attended harvard?"

I would go for something obscure. Like the english guy who invented the internet.

And look at what thats done to the world!!

That would be interesting and if written well would DEF get you an A!

I'd go with martin luther king jr. Or maybe ronald reagan. Since his death, there is a lot of stuff to reseasch and it should be fairly easy to write on either of the 2.

Imagine the ns outcry if u(lateralis) were banned. There would be countless threads and petitions to bring u back, it would be like when treadway got banned from whistler. Someone would probably make and sell 'Free Lateralis' stickers and shit. -j

It's gotta be George W. For better or worse, he's changed the world in a very important way. Also since he's come to power, US isn't as powerful a country as it used to be. If not, maybe John Nash (I'm sure we've all seen a beautiful mind). If it doesn't have to be an American, then go with John Meynard Keynes (British). He's kinda during WWII, but his his ideas were very much post WWII. He changed the world from 45 to the 70's in a HUGE way. Also post 70's too. You can thank your trillion dollar debt to him.

Ronald Reagan. broke down the walls of communism, which allowed for us to have global markets and trading among so many other things.

Reagan for sure

To like what makes us sad

To last until our moment comes

Martin Luther King? There are many other people who's contribution have effected a greater number of lives.

George W! In his four years as president he was able to turn a once liked and respected nation into one despised and mocked all around the world. that is some skill

To understand mankind, we must first understand the word. We can break the word down into two sub-words, 'mank' and 'ind'.What these two words mean is a mystery, just like mankind itself.

Yeah, but keynes was during FDR and WWII but his political impact (he's an economicisit, he's done more than this) was to save a surplus and pay for deficits (before then governments didn't usually have deficits). The idea was to keep the world from going into a severe depression like after WWI. It quite obviously worked too. So yes, his ideas are from WWII, but they were used for post WWII life.

I'm going to have to second the Wayne Gretzky suggestion. Or on a more lighthearted, less serious note, George W. Bush.

Important doesn't have to mean he did great things, it just means what he did had significant impact.
