And besides, did the players on the yankees today win all those world series? no! stop praising the past, you haven't won one in awhile now so its getting a bit old saying "yea, well we won a bunch...a few decades ago" The current champion is whoever won it last season, and regardless of how many the yankees have won in the past, it won't change the fact that they didn't win last year

Arod- you purple lipped whiney fuck that picked a fight with jason variteck and slapped the ball when you ran to first. you selfish bastard, you wont even participate in the hr derby this year in the biggest all star game ever, in the final year of yankee stadium. why? because you say that it will mess up your swing

jorge posada- you chinless asshole. rumor has it that you dont wear batting gloves because you pee on your hands to harden them

johnny damon- you left the sox right after you won a world series and wrote a book, which i read that year. and for a 51 mil deal instead of a 46 mil deal. seirously, what are you gonna do with 5 more mils? fuck you. why are you even an outfielder? you have the weakest arm in the world. you cant even throw it from the outfield to the infield without the ball bouncing

im a huge sox fan, but there are yankees that i like

derek jeter- though youre arguably the most well known yankee, i like you. youre very well mannered and your performances are amazing. youre career batting average is incredible

mike mussina- youre always quiet and are a very good sport. youre also one of the most underrated players ever. you have over 200 career wins and i love the knuckle curve.

a rod- you suck almost as much as jeter except you aren't as shitty at baseball

They're the most dominant team in American sports history, not just baseball. It will be well over 100 years before any team can match us.

They've won 4 WS titles in my lifetime, so idk what you're talking about....
 
When you say overrated you mean the best baseball team of all time right? Or did you just choose to ignore how much better they were than any other team? Cause last time I checked, the Red Sox won like what 1 world series in the past 70ish years?

I really don't like the Yankees, but you can't hate on Jeter's abilities. He has one of the best opposite field swings, and always manages to get on. As well, he's not too bad in the field.
 
i hate johnny damon more than any other baseball player. how can you play on the red sox and then go right to the yankees? it's the biggest rivalry in american sports. plus damon is a chump the yankees play better without him the red sox can have him back

Hate is such a strong word...

First and foremost, recognize that baseball IS a business; don't hate ball players for seeking out money (avg career spans 5.6 yrs), and don't hate big market clubs (ie. NYY) for paying players.

Appreciate the talent of DJ, ARod, and Mo; all of whom will be 1st ballot HOFers.

To those of you who belittle or dismiss the success of the NYY, you CAN'T argue 26 World Series wins and 39 American League Pennants.

the yankees have always been the team i rooted for but as of the last few years they have really gone downhill. i've been to a few games this year half of which they won but they barely scored, there weren't many great plays and they got all their points of errors. and now the whole a-rod/madonna thing??? i may pick a new team to root for after this season. . .

Oh yea, about jeter, hes been to the playoffs every year of his career. Not too many non-yankees can make that claim when you consider his career is 9 years old
 
no, trust me, they already do, mainly because they feel the same against you. What, do you think Yankees fans are the best haters in baseball? Thats not a good title, but i believe that boston fans were once rated as the most hateful in major league.

And i personally feel that the sox/yankees rivalry kind of lost everything in 04 when the sox came from behind against them, then won the world series. I think that was the true end to it, because it was about winning the world series, which they ended up doing. The rivalry has never really been about how many each team has won.
 
yeah you can't hate on jeter or A-Rod, Jeter is an amazing player who will be in the hall of fame, along with A-rod who will obliterate the home run record in a few years. Damon does have the arm of an 11 year old girl though can't argue that haha

personally i dont give a much of a shit about baseball, i just kind of like to understand both sides of the argument. Though i am from Mass. so i am partial to the sox
