Well I was just in Istanbul, Turkey and I could tell there were some pretty sketchy places. Also Russia is fucking skeeetchy. I was there and no one really realizes what they have been through, everyone is very sullen. It gets prettty ghetto in Russia.
 
I still don't understand how anyone could post a single US city as an example. There is no comparison between the US and other places around the world. Not even close.
 
albany is def bad...arbor hill is fucking psycho..went through there last summer and took a wrong turn on accident and was prayin to get out, thought i was gonna get shot
 
yeah it is bad...the downtown clinton/pearl area are freakin sketch.

i park on grand street during the day and walk to work. all you can smell is piss while you're walking. then on the way home EVERYONE and their mother is chillin on the porch, rolling blizunts, drinkin 40s and 'rappin'.

but seriously US has nothing on the other parts of the world. think about it mang, think about it
 
i lived in downtown miami for a while and there was a 10 x 10 block part of overtown where there had been 20+ homicides so far that year, and it was april.

there was some fundraiser in my school to raise money to feed starving children in hartford. did you know that out of 250 or so national cities, Hartford, CT is almost the poorest one, surpassed only by some city in TX...i thought that was crazy, i live like 9 miles from there
 
ya dude. its weird you wouldn't expect hartford to be one of the poorest cities in the u.s when the rest of ct is loaded. everyone works in hartford, but lives in the burbs.
 
Albany has some bad parts most of it seems bad, mostly no one will fuck with you there unless your looking for trouble.
 
completley true, compare the worst parts of the US to almost anywhere in sub-saharan africa. Baghdad is probabaly the most dangerous city in the world right now though, so im going to have to say thats the most ghetto. the entire gaza strip is pretty shitty too. cairo too, shit goes down in cairo, its sad how violent so many places are.
 
guys keep in mind that a ghetto should be in a good city. so like your in a good city going for a walk from your hotel and all the sudden you cross some line and get mugged. So places like rio de janario count but mogadishu doesnt because mogadishu has no nice part to it
 
relatively speaking, for the richest country in the world, there are some pretty big ghettos and social disparities in the US.

I forgot to mention , and I think it takes the cake, Sao Paulo. One of the largest cities in the world, with literally MILLIONS of people living in slums and ghettos. Tons of gun fights every day. Cartels everywhere, remember the jail takeover two years ago where they beheaded the prison guards?
 
oh shit i was just downtown in the 18th worst city in the country, and oh shit what do you know i didn't get shot OH SHIT i mean i only work there at night in a bar get out at 2 am and oh shit i didn't get shot, get your shit together you racist bastards "oh i'm in the ghetto i'm gunna get shot" shut the fuck up you're only gunna get shot if you're in gang areas (unlikely anything will happen anyway) or you're looking for shit, so seriously please shut the fuck up already
 
I was from my friend who did semester at sea and went a shitload of places that India had the worst poverty that he'd seen. South Africa was also bad.

I still say Baghdad.
 
man... people are so clueless, referring to a "ghetto" as a really sketchy place. A ghetto is a place where a certain group is concentrated to be put a part from society (i.e. during world war 2 the jews where kept in jewish ghettos, black people in southern america where kept in black ghettos, etc.)
 
yeah dude, or the civic center. i saw a crackhead grab a pigeon, throw it at a bench to kill it, roll around for a while, and then huck the pigeon into an outhouse, and all the other junkies were just lying there looking shiftily at everyone. i'm pretty white so i was sketched haha.
 
FLINT MI, Northeast side is the second most violent ghetto in the country next to New Orleans. Flint just doesn't get noticed because of it's size. I'll hang in the worst part of Detroit, Chicago, LA before hanging out in the ghetto in Flint, this city is wasted if you are white and have all of your teeth you stay out of Flint.
 
as a south African, im here to tell you, it is the worst country in terms of violence in the world.

familys are pulled out of their cars, shot on site, and left to die and no one around them will even bat an eyelid.

when i was there this summer, the day we landed, two white families (im not racist, its just the situation there) were pulled out of their vans and killed. three 9 year old twin girls, a 2 year old boy their mother and father, their 6 year old cousin and 12 year old cousin, and aunt and uncle were all killed and died on the scene.

its not cool cuz its dangerous, its sad that thats where my home has gotten to.
