I had this conversation today with a friend, and we came to the conclusion if you wanted a hundred thousand dollar looking curb appeal car. For dirt cheap buy a used Lotus for around 30ish grand

I would agree that lotus would be a good choice as a cheap looking nice car for sure.

as for an ugly expensive car, the gumpert apollo takes the cake. IMHO. I'm sure I'll get hate for it though.

Subaru BRZ, $25,000. I don't like the fact that they made it RWD, I think it would be better as AWD but its sick.

I saw a lotus exige s today that was blacked out and it looked spectacular.

Just shows how little you know about the car

Brz's are fun because they're rear wheel drive. It helps make the lighter, handle better, and gives them better weight distribution.

They are cool looking cars though.

well you can get one for 50,000 so for a car that out performs Ferraris and lambo's for 50,000? Hell ya that's cheap. I would gladly pay 20,000 more over a lotus.
 
That's not cheep, what you basically said was buy an expensive used car. I don't care about performance I'm just talking about looks, a cheep car 0-35,000$ that looks expensive. Also stop changing you're prices.

But in all seriousness. You can find a fixed salvaged gtr that has curb appeal and drives for under 40,000.
 
I was going to come in here and say anything made by Lotus is the gayest looking automobile I could ever dream up, but it seems like people love them. Yuck.
 
I think the BRZ/FRS/GT86 is fantastic.

a Lotus is a woman's car, so small and cute. and it comes off as a try hard car, if you're gonna buy an expensive looking car then go buy an actual expensive car, don't spend 30K with intent to impress people like you're some kind of wealthy young kid.
 
Bentley Azure. Sort of hard to find under 50k most people want more for them because they are convertibles and harder to find than Arnages but thats the hottest looking car you can but for that price.

This ones priced higher but I've seen the same car with more miles at 40 sticker

because it's balanced to be a drift/track/race car. I'm incredibly happy they made it rwd, that means in 10 years when I can afford one, I can drift it.
 
A lotus is a drivers car, extremely quick and nimble. I'd spend my money on one of those to bring out to the track over a much more expensive car. With that said I'd probably get a catterham instead. And lotus sort of did a version of it with the lotus 7
 
I think the new Corvette looks incredible. Maybe not "cheap" to many people, especially young people, but definitely affordable to the middle aged crowd who would be looking to buy one.
 
that company also doesnt have a website, claims 0-62 in less than 2 seconds and yeah a 5000 HP 16 cyl? theres absolutely no way its legit. and its fucking hideous haha

cheap + curb appeal: honda s2000 maybe? or - hate pending - a fastback hardtop miata. the fastback hardtop costs a few grand but used miatas are cheap as fuck, like a few thousand. i would vote for the toyobaru BRZ too but its been mentioned already. in terms of cars that are beautiful to some people, although maybe not most people, i would say an e28/e30 bmw, almost all car enthusiasts can appreciate their looks, or a datsun 240z

miata fastback - honestly makes this car look a million times better and most people wont recognize it as a miata right away, and when they do, curb appeal
