Most expensive skis!

I was looking at that "best park ski" thread, which is way to generic. But someone mentioned the most expensive park ski... so post what you think are the most expensive: park skis, all mountain, pow, touring... whatever. shouldn't be hard.

I believe there is a company that makes a 100% carbon fiber ski that is very expensive, can't remember where though.

some con artist was selling like 19,000 dollar skis

i think those skis with the metal flexy thing are super pricey. i always see dumb women with them at mt snow

$2,490's not even that bad.

Sterling skis may be the most expensive I've seen. Check out what comes in their Matterhorn Speed package, $3500:

http://sterlingskis.com/tech.html

Sterling’s Poles are pure carbon fiber, lightweight and pencil thin. Our Sterling Ultralite has a strength-to-weight ratio 600% greater than aluminum but weighs 50% less.

Our Plates come from a race heritage and are made out of high quality lightweight aluminum. The plates provide even distribution from edge to edge and enhance precision and quickness when entering a turn.

Our Performance Bindings are specifically designed to work with our plates. On the fly, you can adjust the binding forward on the plate for precision, easy handling and comfort, or move them backward for smoothness, gliding and stability.

All of theses items are packaged in a velvet- -lined hard traveling case.

Wayne wong, the old school hot dogger sells them in the tahoe area, that fool is at all the demo days. I wanna make a video skiing park on those things in xxxxxxl outerwear

DPS is probably the company you're thinking of. they make 100% carbon fibre. They're about $1400 i think.
I'd guess that the professional downhill racing skis would be the most expensive, those things are (or at least have) titanium so they don't flex i believe. no idea on price, nor any interest in ever owning some

im not a racer so i cant say this with any certainty, but I dont think they're that expensive. my friend just got two pairs of the new fischer world cups and they were only 700 new i believe.

I'd imagine the skis they make specifically for pros are crazy expensive, but mostly because they only make a few of them and dont buy bulk materials.

right... so they choose one tree from the southern hemisphere, and one tree from the northern hemisphere, because of the coriolis effect and to minimise lateral flex... I would definitely pay an extra $18,500 for that kind of quality

$20,000 on skis. Hmm. That's a new car.

A fucking car....

These people need to stop falling for these company's advertising schemes...

the sad thing is in this world there are people rich enough and stupid enough to feed people like that

No, its Goode. DPS does make a pricey ski that uses prepreg carbon fiber, which makes it super light, but Goode is the company that makes all carbon fiber stuff, including $1200 water ramp skis and the STR8, which are rectangles with bindings.
