i was sorda pissed cause i hit a lot of rocks n took my skis in the other day n alone my coreshots coast me 60$

7 days till momentum

Get a lighter and a stick of ptex. Heat the ptex up and fill in the hole. Make sure you don't get any air below the surface and that the entire shot is filled. Scrape off the excess and throw on some wax. If you're not up for that, you can always bring in a six (or twelver if it's real bad) and your shop will always hook it up for beer. Never been turned down. And I even learned that from my mother. come on guys...

 
i had to pay 60 to get like a whole 3 inc by 3inch square section of base replaced! it pretty much ripped off on a rock!

i do it myself...i have a tuning kit and shit and iron and i jsut put a shitload of p-tex on it

My p-tex always comes out after one day on it... there aren't any air pockets under it...But the shot is right next to the edge... like touching it. SO I am thinking that is why it isn't holding. Any ideas what I should do? Epoxy maybe?

do it yourself is the best way. Save so much more money. Buy a p-tex kit and learn how to repair. You'd be surprised how many kids will ask you for help on the slopes if you tell them what you do.

 
If a shot is on the edge or all the way to the core you need to use jb weld to fix it. It is stronger and just as easy as p-tex. (don't light it, you'll explode).

Jb weld is used to seal engine blocks back together on bulldozers. It sticks to metal and core, however it does not absorb wax. If it is bigger than 3x6, jb and then ptex on top so it will take wax.

Why would I not get a good pair of skis fixed?

It's not like the skis are no good anymore after one season.

Those things have barely gotten the use out of them that they deserve. Only a season and a half if that.

But yeah, it was the fujatives I got fixed.

Air to rock slide apparently doesn't work out too well.

I see. Yeah, rock slides are no good. I've had a few... none that bad thou. But neways, if it were my mad_trix I woulda cut them and p-texed them myself and not gave 2 shits.. But thats me.

But I'm twisted...like, I kind of want to destroy them. See what it would really take to break one. the other day I was flexing on it (or lack there of) and I heard it pop. maybe I cracked the core? or maybe it was just something else. I dunno.

your dumb. if youve every actually tried that, youd realise it last for about an hour, and then it all falls out. Ptex is differnt from the weld stuff, (called metalex or something). That shit is nasty, and will stick to ANYTHING. ptex just sticks to your base.

i have never had ptex fall out...when you do it i use a metal scraper to make it flat.....

yeah, on shallow scrathes.... on deeper ones, crappy ptex wont stick all that well, and ptex wont stick to fiberglass (AKA a coreshot).
