Personally I didn't see anything amazing in there, except for when that guy hopped from one rail to the next. Other than that... There is much better content out there.

I think that they jumped to the side of the helicopter just like hall and raps did. It seems like actually going over it would be super dangerous because you could get sucked into the blades.

 
man...kneivel never hoped a helicopter on a motorbike wich would be alot easier than doing it on skis...so no skier can do it. they'd die if the blade even hit them.

i have watched this so many times and it looks oh so good, i think this is the only snowboard movie i would actualy thing about buying, it looks so good.

I like the concept of a really long trailer like that, although some (only a bit, mind you) of the intro could have been cut. Spectacular riding, and a really original feel. I like it a lot.

hahaha physics is certainly against the idea of jumping over a chopper.....the pressure is so low above rotating blades that we'd see a human smoothy if anyone ever tried..unless they were like 75 feet above the blades

 
rooftop backflipped a chopper about 4 years ago on a bike so it can be done

Not really much prog. in there besides te rail transfer. IT is def a sick trailer and the editing is ill. That is def one of the upsides to mass media SB.They have such a huge god damn budget!! Although ski vids are so ill right now i cant really complain

Umm...helicopters have variable pitch rotor heads. This means that they have to ablity to "feather" from negative pitch..to zero..to maxium positive pitch. While on the ground they are at zero or slightly negative pitch. zero pitch creates zero lift. zero lift means no reduced air pressure above the blades. I know...egineering degree and have been flying remote control helicopters from over 10 years.

on a side note... does anyone think that snowboarding just doesnt look very steezy? Like, i used to think so but now that ive been watchin ski movies and shit for so long, snowboarding just looks stupid. All their grabs look weird except for the one right in the middle in front of u. Ill give it to shaun white though, i like watching his stuff. He's pretty much the tanner of snowboarding.

I really liked the beginning, because it was like how it is in real life, getting ready, and just skiing the same type of stuff all day because thats how it really is in life. you don't go from a mammoth table to a double butter off a cornice in the next run, its just not possible. Plus there was the Zeppelin playing too. that was sick. the main trailer was tight also.

because I like poop.
 
it was cool and woooh they used MUSE in a trailer, but yeah it wasnt that insane. overall it just gave me this warm fuzzy feeling inside for being a skiier.

Yeah, say what you want about snowboarding (I'm not a huge fan), but damn they make some good movies. No dialog, awesome editing, and a flow that's just missing from a lot of ski movies. I remember the first time I saw Vivid, and I was just like " I wish ski movies were more like that..." Looks like that trend is continuing. I mean for me to really want to watch a movie over and over again, it's got to be put together in a fluid kind of way, and keep the dialog to a minimum unless it's making me laugh.

^^ word, those vids (war and S6) look rad. and the teaser for derelicta looks better then community project (defective films with wall, heiskari and others). not enough can be said about travis rice though, i'm fairly confident he will have segment of the year again.
