Most depressing song...

straight from Wikipedia

"The album's final track, "Hurt", would enjoy success once again when it was covered, with slight alterations to the lyrics, by Johnny Cash in 2003."

I do believe it's a NIN song and Cash just covered it. The only difference he made was "empire of dirt" instead of "empire of shit"

hold on - limp bizkit

clocks - coldplay

not depressing, but "1979" by the smashing pumpkins seems kinda nostalgic

leif erikson - interpol.

whenever im in a depressed/verge of tears/unhappy moment it will come up on random on my ipod.

on a happy note...im gonna go see them play when they get to melbourne next year. yay!

disarm-smashing pumpkins

they perched on their stilts, pointing and daring me to break custom--saosin

mad world--tears for fears/gary jules

I hate that song... I fell at freestyle training really bad last year when I was listaning to that song, had to be taken to the hospital. So now I cant listen to that song and I agree most depressing and stuid!

yupp.

quite a few of their songs have that down element to them.

its only lief erikson that really gets me though. lol.

anything written in the middle of elliott smith's heroin addiction.

imagine is not depressing, it's hopeful.

get your emotions straight.

Creep - Radiohead

Three Seed - Silversun Pickups

Dinner Bells - Wolfparade

Thats all i can think of now

my ski coaches, he made me train on ice moguls and I slammed my back on one right under the chairlift and everyone knew it was me and kept yelling down. suckkedd.

I don't see how that could ruin the song for anyone, but it is super depressing and lame, but i dont mind the techno remake of it.

i don't think depressing is the right word..but definitely can i sing you to sleep? by farewell to arms..made me cry the first time i heard it.

I find that You Never Know is a much sadder song, Dance with the Devil is more depressing though.

fuck that was so fucking weird

the reason 'you could be happy' gets me so worked up is because of a kid with your name

ngdkjsngksnks

fergalicious- that song is so fucking depressing because we're now turning to meth heads for entertainment. and music on the radio sucks my left nut.

SOLDIER SIDE-system of a down

its weird, it like hits me funny so i think its sad

its a sad melody

its on Hypnotize, iTune it

Padriac My Prince - Bright Eyes

Jesus Christ - Brand New

If Winter Ends - Bright Eyes

Reason to Celebrate - The Honorary Title

they're all good songs though...

"Jeremy" by Pearl Jam

Also, idk if anyone's still confused but "Hurt" was definitely originally a NIN song that Johnny Cash later covered (and changed a few words.)

My choice as most depressing song would have to be a different NIN song. "Right Where it Belongs" is really sad and questions what if the world outside your world is all just an illusion.
