Most consistent prodcution co.

Well yeah. Since Forward, they've all been really good (High Five, SSix, LSS) and apparently Realtime's like that too, but I have yet to see it.

If they consistently put out good movies what is there to change? In my opinion, every new year the movies are more progressive and I'm never disappointed by a movie that TGR puts out.

most consistent...... POORBOYZ

every year since happy days they have made the same exact boring ass ski movie with the same tricks, all thats changed is people get bored of filming with them because its so monotinous so they have some new skiers.

so consistency goes to poorboyz

progression of your movie id say goes to level 1

i surprisingly agree, except there have always been a few seggys during their movies that are absolutely mind blowing.

other than that id go with Level 1

Level 1: high five was the shit, shanghai six was better then average, long story short blew chunks. Did not eve bother to see Realtime. so they are out.

Poor Boyz: generally the same movie, a hand full of the sick ass segments combined with a load of useless shit. Of you look up you will see something sick, but it is not put together well for the most part.

Teton Gravity Research: one of my favorite production companies. Always gets me stoked on skiing, and they are fun movies to watch. They are consistent and good.

Matchstick Productions: I don't remember any parts of the last 3 movies, so they are consistently mind numbingly bad. few cool shots, the best chromatography (not the supper slow-mo), but so badly put together that you don't notice how good their filmers are.

Theory-3: Every movie they have made kicks ass in my book. Safety Meeting was second best to Teddy Bear Crises in 05.06. [photo]play was the best last year. PNW was solid too.

I know I am missing a bunch notably plehouse and rage but I do not have a Solid idea on their films. But out of the 5 listed it is between TGR and theory-3.

IM a big fan of L1P. Ive gotten the last 2 yrs flicks-and soon this yrs- and they have never let me down

pop yer bottlez sucked.  i like L1P some of the time.  99% of ski movies are unforfilled segments, horrible natural terrain freeride use (3 after 3 after 3), music sucks.  ski movies, for the most part, suck.  any snowboard film produced has a better vibe altogether than ski movies. sorry nomenseven, you are getting sold short by watching ski movies. and the fact that pop yer bottles existed is proof of how lame ski movies are.  look at the snowboard competition vs. ski.  absinthe, mdp, standard, people, finger on da trigga vs. msp, tgr, l1p, pbp, rage, plehouse.  you guys talk all this shit on how snowboarding has digressed, your hippy ambassador sage has been doing the same 3 and sw5s for five years now.

i would have to say level 1, i haven't been disappointed with anything that they have put out so far

the one snowboard movie i've seen is "follow me around" by MDP, fucking some of the best cinematography i have ever seen, this could be because i was more baked than a homemade apple pie, but none the less it is a sick ass movie

level 1 hands down.

Why not PBP or MSP- because they love to make one SICK ass movie one year and follow it up the subsequent year with a yawner. Eg- Ski movie 3 was amazing, focused blew dick

rage has been pretty good the past few years. i'm not a big level 1 fan, and i really didn't like shanghai six.

I don't know why people say snowboard movies are better. I have seen the Absinthe and Robot Food movies, and I think they were nowhere near as good as some ski movies I've seen.

But saying ski movies suck is stupid. I know they aren't much when you compare them to actual movies, but they aren't meant for that. You can't compare two different catagories of filmmaking as if they were one.

Thats like comparing a park ski to a powder ski for which is better.

wouldn't know where to begin.  snowboard company owners all the way down to the athletes commit the film making process from december1st-til' they get it done.  skier's shoot here, comp there, couch here, over there, etc. no full time committment with full crews.  don't say idea either, they built two legit played out jumps in the entire movie, with a couple great 180s, big woop. if you can't see the difference then there is just no hope, believe me i've tried and nothing changes.

Meathead Films.

Every year they get better and better, and get me stoked to go skiing more than any other movie.

and this is why i say there are only a few types of skiiers in the world. and one of those types would be people who liek things like TGR and are GNARLY skiiers and dont like anything other then that kind of stuff. and you fall into that perfectly.
