Just wondering what ski injuries everyone has had, and what they think happens most often, and wear (rails, jumps, pipe,) My guess is concussions, and I dont really know where. i have had a concussion off of a table, and in the pipe. Lemme knwo what you all thing.

i'd say shinbang is the most common injury. You get that everywhere from skiing and landing backseat.

My girlfriend told me to shove my skis up my ass

concussion off a table and pipe, stiches on first down kink rail

'Don't like hesh - Don't like rap - kicked ol' sally cos she fat - I'm a jerk I'm a punk took a shower cos I stunk - smoked a bong killed a cat - had my nuts attacked by rats dad got nude - I wore a thong - for a hobby I make bombs' Tom DeLounge

yeah, of course shin bang, but that goes away after a day or too. i am talking about permanent damage (ie concussion 'll give you brain damage, stiches leave scar, broken limb can amputate your ability to do things) but yeah, shin band happens all the time too.

i work at a ski hill and the most common injury is actually a broken thumb. i guess its from how you hold your poles when you ski.

whoaaa, but is that the most common injury in the park? i never woulda thought of that. i got a concussion yesterday at blue. i dont remember a damn thing other than hitting the ground. crazy stuff. i would have to say (in my opinion) jumps are probly the most dangerous place, pipe doesnt seem that dangeroust (althoug thats were i hurt my self) and rails... yeah thet can kill ya :P

bruises from rails, unless that dosnt count, the probly concusions, or knee related injuries

$$ ICED OUT RACING $$

Broken ankle, landing flat on ice at Moonstone, broken wrist due to sucking at jumping. I'm sick of breaking stuff.

I just dislocated a disc again, my 1st real consistent serious injury. I'm hitn the slopes again since last week tho

-this comin from the guy that backseated a safety once.

Friend-'Dude, i just got a 130 on my iq test'

Me- 'Thats an SAT'

Friend-'Oh shit'

Um last week i broke my nose in the pipe caus of some snowboarder in the way...ide say the most common ingery is spained or screwed up fingers from fallig or pulling bad grabs

just to support my cause, i have a bruise about the size of a football on the side of my leg, and im only 5 2 so its big in comparison to my leg, and its an ugly bastard too, it started about the mandatory black and blue but then went to green and brown then to yellow and orange, its invisible now but it still hurts like a mother to the touch

ACLs get torn a hell of a lot. i also heard that broekn thumbs are really common.

I'd have to go with concussions for those who actually go big and fast enough to get em...shin bang is more like a nuisance. i qualify injury as needing medical attention. got a broken wrist now from backcountry shit which is supposedly a rare injury for skiers...although it is one of the most common boarding injuries...also knee injuries specially for bumps skiers. my 2 cents

its deffinatly broken thumbs i broke mine at killington on a huge tabletop usually from pole straps. Also elbow injuries are common when u land and ure poles are upstrait and ure pole straps are on u can fuck that sht up but i u dont wear pole straps concussions

definatly shinbang and finger injuries, my rigth thumb isn't at all like it used to be... its like outta place permanantly. I seem to hurt my ass alot..... its kind of a sick pace to get hurt

i would have to say the most common injury is concussions and broken wrists and fingers. i've broken my wrist once and have gotten a couple concussions from the skiing in the parks. but ac ouple weeks later and your fine.

My physician told me the most common injuries he deals wtih associated with skiing is knees.

Broken thumbs is common.

Concussions are a given.

I've had a severe concussion, forget who I was and I still don't remember alot.

Broken wrist from landing on a snowboarder off of a jump, dislocated elbow, tore muscles in my neck from skiing.

Eat. Sleep. Breathe. Ski.

id say sprained thumb more so then broken... sprained thumb is like a weekly thing...

other than a few cuts and welts I'v been fortunate enough to aviod skiing injuries but just about a month ago I was sessioning the diving board at the pool and for my last(ever) jump I went to spin bio style off it but my left leg bukkled underneith me causing me to fall backwards on the board and slide off. I got a couple nasty gashes on my leg and foot from the screws at the end of the board and the doctor tells me I ripped all the legaments between my ankle and fibbia(sp) so yesterday and today were my first days riding in almost a month... ankle injuries suck.
