Most bullshit OWI ever (story)

Ok so I know drunk driving is bad and I'm a retard for doing it, but hear me out before you criticize...

So me and two buddies were at a house and I ended up drinkin 8 beers starting at 6:00 and stopping at about midnight. We all decided to go to dennys to get some late night beer munchies. I drive there perfectly fine, I wasnt speeding, swerving, nothin. Got there, ate our food and this flamingly gay guy comes in with a bunch of girls and his phone rings and it played something gay like barbie girl, and we all started bustin out laughin. He started talkin shit about how he was gonna knock us all out and we all just lauged and said do it. There was seriously like no shit talking from us, we just laughed and told him to do it, no problem right? well hes standin up callin us out and were like chill dude, dont wanna hurt you in front of your friends. Then the dennys manager comes out to us and tells us to leave for trying to start trouble and were just like wtf??? so we get up and pay, the gay dude and his girl friends are bitchin and yellin at us sayin they gonna kick our asses and we just laugh at em. So we leave and see that dennys manager calling the cops and staring at mycar, im like fuck im gettin home. Drop of one buddy, gotta go back by Dennys cuz thats where I live and I stop at the gas station and see 3 cops swarm all around .

Oh shit, luckily a sober friend was at the gas station and he ofers to give me a ride, so my car got moved to the back of the station where it wouldnt get towed and we get in his car and as soon as we get to the light about 50 feet away, a cop flys behind us. I think "no problem, andy is sober the worst ill get is a minor consumption ticket (im 18 btw) well they immediately ask for everyones licenses and say they are giving me a ticket for now iowa drivers license, total bs, then they make me get out, they pat me down tell me to blow, i blow 0.10 and then they ask me what i had been doing that night, I just said "I apologize, but I do not wish to say anything until my lawyer is present" everytime they asked me a question, so they immediately said I was under arrest for a 0.02 violation. They make me sit in the car for about 45 minutes, then we leave to go to the police station. Before we go i asked the officer if he would please buckle me up, in case somethin were to happen. He said "No im not about to get headbutted" once again, im like wtf?? go to the station he tries to ask me more questions i tell him the same thing, he makes me blow again, this time it comes to 0.147 then he says im charged with an OWI Because they got a call that someone was drunk and starting trouble at dennys and drove off in a brown car.

Does anyone think this is total bullshit? Im goin to see my lawyer today, he already told me this is a bullshit charge and ill be out of it, but what do you guys think? what would you have done in my situation? FUCK THE POLICE!!

ok mr. alcoholic, im not trying to make a point that I drank a a lot or that I was piss-wasted. I was casually downing a few while watching the football games last night. I AM IN NO WAY TRYING TO BRAG, IM JUST MAKING A POINT THAT THE POLICE REALLY TRIED TO FUCK ME OVER

just talk to your lawyer. those cops fucked up big time. and most likely they wont show up for court..thats how a lot of cases get thrown out. my hearing is set for the 3rd of October. im so lucky (total sarcasm). good luck man!
 
In washington now the cops don't have to be present, nor do they even have to ask you to sign the ticket. WTF. So a cop could just hand out tickets, and not even show up, when you didn't even sign admitting that you even got one? How is that legal, under the constitution you have the right to face your accuser, am I wrong?

But bro I bet you are going to win. try and see if the denny's has surveilance? maybe if you can prove that you were just sitting there and the other guy gets up with like threatening body language and starts yelling, and that you guys went home to avoid any trouble as per the managers request. If the manager asks you to leave and you do, then they can't call the cops, you did nothing wrong. And also why did he pull you over? Was the kid speeding? they legally need a reason to pull him over if the car wasn't the same. Why did he originally ask you to get out of the car? Ask your lawyer about the seatbelt thing, and how the cop broke the law and put you in danger because of hiz laziness. Just keep coming up with more and more technicalities to fight, and have your lawyer just keep throwing them at the judge, naw I mean?
 
I do think that you will get at the very least a ticket for drunk driving because, well, you are guilty of that offense. As for the other parts to your story, yes, the cop did handle that very badly and surely you can either get a reduced sentence with all the stuff you have on him from that account (refusing to buckle you in, pulling over your friend's car without cause, etc.) or else you will get the same sentence and just get the cop in trouble on top of that. tough to tell, really. Hopefully your attourney is pretty good. good luck man
 
if you blew a .147 after midnight, and you started drinking at 6:00, then you are a rediculous lightweight or you def had more than 8 beers. You clean one drink outta your system every hour, so unless you pounded your last 6 beers from 11 to 12, then you had more to drink than you remember, which also might mean you talked more shit than you remember. Happens to me all the time, picking fights, no biggie, just hope this is your first offense cause otherwise you might be going to jail
 
Did you tell them that you were driving the other car? I would deny that and say that your friend was. Cause the moment that you open your mouth and say you were driving, I would think that everything else would become irrelevant. It's black and white.. I would even bet that if they're serious about it, they would take the tape from the gas station to show you driving in the case that you say your friend parked your car or something like that.

hopefully you have a good lawyer and you didn't say anything.

 
if u've got a good enough lawey you could end upp suing the cops for not buckling you up, i've heard of this guy getting pulled over completely baked, and ended up suing the cops for leaving his gf in the car and charges were forgotten about.

dude, if the first time you blew .10 and then the second time you blew .147 then how does that work, youre supposed to getmore sober after time goes on not more drunk
 
drink 4 shots and then measure your b/o then wait 30 minutes and measure it... which will be higher? and when will you start to feel it?
 
Im scared to tell my parents about this... I still live at home so they are gonna be pissed, but I think they will at least be glad that I have an overwhelmingly high chance of getting out of it. Shit, my mom is gonna freak...
 
yo the longer you wait the more pissed the will be. i got an ACD for possesion and speeding(55 in 45) and driving illegaly after 9(have to be 18 or 17 with drivers ed to drive after nine in ny) and i didnt tell them for like two weeks and they were mad pissed. more pissed because i waited to tell them then acutally about what happened, because it could have been worse. but yea, tell them as soon as you can and listen to what they have to say first becasue they are pissed and want you to know you screwed up, so just listen first then tell your side of the story. but anyway, i only got 3 parkinging tickets and a year of unsupervised proby(basically all charges go away in a year if i dont fuck up big time again) so you shouldn't worry if you have an attorney i did too and they always make things easier. good luck
 
What kind of cop would dish out fines like that?? That's retarded to give to a 16-17 year old. Give him the speeding ticket yes, or maybe just a warning. I bet he was hiding directly behind the sign too, and they have the warning that the limit is going to change speeds like 20 feet away.

The moment that cops stop making bonuses based on how many tickets they give out, is the day that I view the system with a little more respect.
 
hey dumb dumb, he was given two breathalisers, one at the site where he blew a .1 and one at the station which was a .147 now that doesnt make much sense unless you were drinking in the cop car
