The front 2 is never sick. If it were there wouldn't be the saying "When in doubt, front 2 out" People may try and bone/bang them out as much as possible. But at the end of the day its just front 2.
 
thats a bold claim there saga outerwear. contests that build a lot of hype on promoting am skiers are never sick when there's the obvious ulterior motive to draw shittons of attention to your wack company.

yes people often front 2 out of a rail as a last resort especially on some crazy urban 8 kink when they get to the end and happen to lock their front edge in, but in other situations especially with a rail to wall tranny/ rail to to reverse wall tranny where you actually ride down the wall to switch dragging your noses or the opposite (2 into reverse tranny and ride down the wall on your tails to forward) the trick no longer happens to be "just a front 2"
 
Or we have a team of skiers that isn't getting any younger and we are looking for some new blood to bring up through our ranks. And unlike the majority of other brands we don't have a vast network of reps to filter new talent through, we only have the internet.

And the thread is for most "ballin front 2". I just don't see how a front 2 can be sick. When accompanied with other parts an entire trick can be sick. But a front 2 alone just doesn't do it.

you should be supporting front 2's seeing as how a lot of people who wear your outerwear can only do front 2's. (not saying that all people who wear saga are bad)
 
i think you guys are missing the point of this thread. obviously front 2s are the easiest trick and therefore not entirely impressive, but you cant deny that there are time when people can make it look pretty fucking gangster. generally the better you are at the really had stuff, the better you are when you bring it back to the basics, so i think its cool to see guys take something simple like a front 2 and send it deep, steep, and with a nasty tweak like ive never seen it before.
 
Love how half the people criticizing this thread act like they haven't thrown countless front 2's before.
 
ive always really liked the look of switch 2 pretzel front 2. sure regular pretzels are harder buts its still a good looking trick
 
The only way front 2s are sick are if A, lip slide front 2 or B. Forster Meeks. or I guess C. Forster Meeks lipslide front 2
 
When did Saga become too cool for school? Your company was founded by the kids who were stoked on learning to front 2 out of a rail and in many cases still aspiring to do so..... I wish you guys would get your voice back instead of consistently alienating your fans and supporters.
 
so to further bump this thread, who isn't a fan of 270 on pretz 270 out, I've seen so many edits recently where the last trick is always a 2 on pretz 2 out and its pissing me off,

inb4 fudgenuggets can't do them, I can't but I think most people will agree with me that the trick is way overdone,

Thats bullshit, whoever is posting on the Saga account represents the company of Saga as a whole, and I am sure that not everyone at Saga thinks front 2's are whack.

When representing a company you shouldn't just blurt out your own controversial opinions on an internet forum seen by hundreds if not thousands every day. That should be done on your own personal account.

(If Steve is posting on the Saga account, my opinions is invalid because he's just trolling.)
 
Why's that? Maybe I am naive and mistaken but I don't understand why when speaking on behalf of a brand one must be impartial and not have an opinion.

Theres no need for this thread to get out of hand, I simply stated that as a stand alone trick a front 270 out of a rail is pretty weak. I didn't say people who do them suck or that the trick should be banished from skiing. I have no problem with someone doing that trick, you can do whatever you want that you enjoy. I just don't think it's a trick that needs any attention. It's the equivalent to fs 180 out on a snowboard. Sure there are shots that look cool but its really just half a rotation with minimal consequence.

sure, just doing it on a normal (and normal size) feature in a bland way is unimpressive, but that's not what skiing is or should be about, it's about the style and the context of everything

hating on them cause theyre so common and easy might sound cool in your head but really it just makes you (the rhetorical you) sound like a trick logger

seriously, I agree with saga. Why make a big deal about front 2's? I was doing those when I was a 9 year old gaper pissing everyone off doing stupid shit in the park. They are just about the simplest trick in the world, and they really dont deserve a thread about the "most ballin front two". HOWEVER I cant deny that I seriously enjoyed maks gorhams nollie 2 out in that video. But that was seriously the only front 2 out that i have ever gotten any enjoyment out of.
 
I just feel like whoever uses the Saga account should probably use a separate account to post personal opinions. If you're the owner of Saga, then do whatever you want with the account, but whoever has been posting with the Saga account as of late is making a bad impression on some people. I honestly don't care and whatever the Saga account posts doesn't really influence me on whether or not I will buy your product, but it seems that you're alienating some potential customers. Sorry for further derailing this and turning it into the 'Fuck Saga' thread,
 
Front 2's can look sick.. sometimes

Back 2's on the other hand.. Shea Flynn makes them his bitch, I love how he dips his toes and almost drags his tips on the ground, I'd say he has the smoothest in the game.
 
I think saga's point is true. Front twos on their own are never really a good "banger" trick. Its the rest of the trick that matters, whether its a back swap or a 10 foot drop off of a parking garage. You will never see a front two out on a flat rail as anything but a filler trick.
 
I think the disagreement comes in where people are thinking of a front 2 in it's purest form; slide the rail, come off the end, front 270.

Some people are thinking of variations of front 2s using taps, gapping over shit, grabbing, popping different.

I definitely think front 2s can be done and be cool, but a normal-ass front 270 off of a flat rail is not, and probably won't ever be.

I think since front 2's are such an easy trick that everyone can do, if someone does it with style and makes it stand out then they fuckin killed it. It's hard to make such a common trick look different and rad. That Maks Gorham one is dope
