so Elivs Costello was the musical guest on SNL once, and he was going to play RADIO, RADIO but they said he couldn't (i dont know why) so he started to play another song and stopped in the middle of it and started playing RADIO, RADIO and he got banned from the show for 10 years how badass is that

i just wikipedia'd it and in 1999 costello sabotaged the beastie boys "sabotage" while they were performing on SNL and they all played radio radio together.
 
jim morrison did pretty much the same thing on the johnny carson show, except they just didnt want him to say the word fire in the song "light my fire" and he did it anyways and was banned for life

nope, im pretty sure kurt cobain beats this guy.

nirvana was playin at the mtv awards and kurt wanted to play rape me but mtv wouldnt let him so kurt said he would play lithium instead. so he goes out there and plays the intro to rape me and then goes into lithium. NIRVANA FTW!!!!!!
 
that's the opposite of badass...he pretended to be badass, then ended up playing the song mtv wanted.

in any case, Elvis Costello >Kurt Cobain any day. hate away, but it's the truth!
