yeah so it's one of those gay posts which is a better ski kind of thing. but i have no experience with either ski & probably won't get a chance to demo either ski so i need some input on both skis... if i end up getting one of the two it will be for powder days & bc kickers only.. no groomers or anything like that.. so if you could give me your opinions on the skis that would be great.

and possibly the kahunas, but i don't think we have deep enough pow days for a pair of those.

well wehre are you riding? i mean both skis are amazing all over the mountain but they really are a powder ski, so that's where they're gonna shine, cause both skis are pretty serious, i mean they're meant for steep, the only reason they do have a twin especially on the pistols is cause seth does like to throw it down every now and then, i'd suggest the scratch bc if you just want a fat ski for some jumps, otherwise the others you're just not using htem to there potential, and for just jumps don't even consider the kahuna, it' has a 106 waist, it's a serious pow bc ski not to be used for just jumps, rember just cause it has a twin tip does not make it the best thing to jump with or it's sould purpose, all those skis are serious bc skis

If you choose skis based on graphics I don't care what your oppinion is.

Both those skis are fun to ski on, the Mothership is real nice, a good floater and smooth in the Pow. It's a little straight so you have to steer the skis, they were to short for me though.

I prefer and own the seth pistol, I think this is the better of the two, it's got more side cut, it is bigger and it skis more like a true ski, you can put it on edge and rip it, you don't have to steer as much. The SP is great for airs because its so damn big you can land anything. I love it and would recomend it to all ya'll. I'm a bigger guy though so some smaller people may prefer the motership.

P.S. I like the SP graphics because they are different, and all the little wanna be's look at them in awe while your skiing by.

since the kahoonas are so huge wouldn't they easily stick landings? although, the would suck for trick in are because of hugeness, but the landing would be nice i think

I'm gonna go with blue PE's as my favorite graphic, old Pistol graphics as my second favorite

and the new Pistol graphics as my third favorite.

 
well fuckasauras, if you were anything of a skier you would know that it really doesn't make that much difference what ski you have. So when it comes down to it, graphics play a very important role.

dude im in the same dilemma, but wot i've heard i fancy the pistols only i picked a pair up last season an they seemed really soft which is great 4 pow but i'd quite like 2 rip em through the park a bit 2. im aslo 6'4 so not sure on lengths 189 sp seems huge. 182(?) moships sounds sensible but pistols giv u more piste cred.

I ride the Pistols and I like how they are versatile in all conditions, you can ride them on groomers, pow, crud, park, pretty much anything, and they perform well. They also have a wood core, which helps as far as durability goes, and I think that a wood core feels better when you're riding the ski, as opposed to a foam core like the Pocket Rockets- wood is more stable. And the ski is actually pretty stiff under the binding, the tail and tip are soft, but if you flex the ski at 10 degree angle to the floor, you'll find that they are pretty stiff in the middle. So all in all, it's a good ski with good construction. But I really don't care about any of that, I just bought them becuase they looked cool.

If your choosing skis based on graphics your a poser fag and that's the bottom line. Also, I suggested the mothership to shorter people becaue it's made in shorter lenghts.
