yeah, looking at his career in the past and where he's been going, ive come up with this theory that hes like, the next Ice Cube.

Ok, they both start out with music thats pretty anit-establishment, Cube was more blatant than Mos though but thats besides the point. then they come out with their acting debut thats still pretty gritty (Ice Cube: boyz in the hood, Mos: Bamboozled). after that and during that time, they constantly rag on the Hollywood establishment. then they both move on to mainstream shit, where Mos is right now, and eventually put out some pretty mediocre shit (like Ghosts of Mars)

oh yeah, and while we're on the topic, i wanna bring something up thats pissed me off about Mos. OK, i listen to mostly hip hop but i have respect for a ton of shit. having said that, will mos get the fuck off his goddamned high horse and quit blaming the white man for stealing rock!?!?!? fuck, Rock n Roll pisses me off. its shit that he mentions Rolling Stones who have nothing but respect for their blues/jazz/early rock roots. shit, go to starbucks. they started selling music and theyve got this series of artists making compilations of music that they like and their influences. the Stones have one of said cds and you look on theirs, theyve got tons of great black artists like Muddy Waters and James Brown. oh, and not-so-mighty mos dont even touch Led Zepplin in that song. god damn, i just fuckin skip that song anytime i listen to Black on Both Sides now if i do listen to it anymore...

hahah ok i was watchin tv for some reason a while back and this stupid ass show came home called like, hip hop drama. and it was a musical with mos def as the lead actor with his partner being a bad cop like puttin coke sacks in 9 year olds pockets and arresting them hahaha, then breaking out in a song about some random bulll

mos def, by rappers standards, is a god damned genius. All these other 'executives' rappers are generally retards with good marketing directors.

Mos Def and the other intellectual rappers actually deliver a pretty good message and I can respect that. On top of that MD is a damn good lookin guy imo. He can act with the best of em. Definetly blows cube out of the water in that respect. Just my $.02.
