MORMONS!

i know alot of mormons in utah and the majority of the people that bash them don't understand the truth about them.

They have rules that they live thier live by but they are free to choose for themselves.

they do not practise polygamy.

thier book of mormon does not contradict the bible.

most of you know people who are mormons and you don't even know it.

If you want to know the truth about the mormons you should ask a mormon. duh..

they are just normal people like you and me trying to live good lives and they happen to found the state with the best snow. inspiration...some may say so
 
Yeah every history book about Mormons that isn't written by a Mormon is bullshit. Who cares if the sources are real, crosschecked, and published and in a library. Lets all just accept only the facts that we want to be true!

There is absolutley no seperation between church and state in utah there is only one utah supreme court justice that is not mormon. Mormons are wakos that like to marry thier own childern and have sex with little boys and girls. instead of just saying it contradicts itself why dont you make points and prove that it contradicts itself. now mormons dont own coco cola. that rumor has been going around for about more then 7 years. so if they just bought i dont believe you know the truth behind that. i dont know anything about supreme justices and utah but i have never heard of court hearings going absolutely horrid in utah so maybe that one doesnt matter either. and mormons marrying their own kids? and having sex with little kids maybe you got that from catholics. and what do you mean they should go to hell for embracing a religion that killed so many children?
 
i mean that mormons were responsible for multiple massacres in and around utah many years ago and now they try to cover it up and act like nothing ever happened. I also say they support the abuse of childern because they abuse childern not only physically but mentally and sexually as well. Oh and did you know that the mormon church owns every news media organazation in utah. The mormon church also owns about 75% of the bussiness in utah and there is a mormon church directly across the street from almost every school in the country. they offer school credit for attending church wich last time i checked should be illegal.
 
well going to the church across the street from a high school doesnt earn a high school credit. the school has given the students a block of class to go and have a church class and study. none of my friends got high school credit for there classes. so bull shit. but then also can you pull up some massacres by mormons? i have heard of them too. but then also it might not be the right mormons your talking about. see when joseph smith was killed there was a dispute as to who was to be the new "prophet" or president of the church. it split into two. the church of jesus christ of latter day saints and the reorganized church of jesus christ of latter day saints. so you got lds and rlds. i believe there was a big massacre that was commonly confused with lds and the rlds in colorado. some excommunicated members that were then members of the new rlds church killed a bunch of people who they believed were coming to kill them. so you got rlds and then there is the flds. fundamentalist later day saints. the ones that

im not saying the mormon people are bad at all, im just saying that the religion itself is retarded if you just think about it, and the government and rules at the university that are influenced by mormonism are extremely dumb too, so this pisses me off, but i dont hold it against kids when i meet them, and most of the mormon kids ive met here are pretty chill, i just morally disagree with just about everything they stand for so its kind of weird
 
going on missions, trying to convert people in any way basically, also not allowing people to smoke or drink and whatnot, all of the crazy shit they used to do, like polygamy because i dont care if your not this way now but if my religion was created by a bunch of weird ass polygamists who thought they were talking to god i would be a little bit questionable of all of the crazy rules

mormonism is not based off polygamy. it was not started because of polygamy either. that came into play a few years after the church started. but quickly was quickly taken away too. but i admit thats a wierd thing to do. but it doesnt affect what they do.

im sure any religion can talk to god, or some supernatural being. its called prayer.
 
i havent ever heard any mormon say god spoke to me. but people mistake god answered my prayers as talking. ive been mormon my whole life. my family is so intensely mormon and im not. and has nothing to do with it. if its between powder and god i guess im going to hell. but the only people i have heard say god has spoken to them is joseph smith. if they could do it back with moses what makes it impossible now?
 
and let me clarify i will never say im not mormon but i definitely dont believe in a lot of it. i guess im just being devils advocate?

Arguing about religion is just straight up retarded. Every organized religion has had some horrible stuff that they have done in their past, mormons were just more recently. Of the course the kid who was brainwashed into moromonism is going to fight for it because he believes in it. In the end I put mormons on the same level of cultness as haire krishnas.

Come on bro...Mormons OWN Pepsi...CAFFEINE is a DRUG! In fact they explicitly tell you caffiene is not allowed...but they sell Pepsi products it and drink it likes its holy water...

Plus they are a HUGE drain on the ecomomy...Utah has the highest brith rate in the nation and the highest percentage of social welfare recipients...

They use terms surge as "bleeding the Pig" to describe how they justify taking advantage of the US government...they have consitently demonstrated that they oppose the government...they have their own LAW...very dangerous sketchy people

i will agree that the morman religion seems rather strange, but hey im catholic, if i went back and did a bunch of research i could find some really weird shit about it. so mormons go around trying to convert people door to door, well hundreds of year ago didnt people go around taking over countries and killing millions of people trying to convert them to christianity? isnt catholisism the religion that has been having a serious issue with preists raping little boys?

also as for the not having sex or doing drugs or not masturbating, etc. that holds the same for most religions, i know in catholisism those all would be considered sins, but many people just dont follow the religion that intensly.

personally i think that mormons just have a very strong belief in their religion and many of them try to follow it as they are supposed to. sure i know some super religious jews and catholics and stuff but for the most part people say they believe in their religion but dont follow it as their supposed to.

they can all be freaks and shit behind there front door... but when they have 100% ruined my expirence in high school and just utah in general i have come to not like the religion at all.... i have many mormon friends but still i will say they have ruined high school for me..

but hey i take them for what they are... they were here in utah first and im just a visiter so of course i try not to bash them but someimtes i get really frustrated.

hardly man..i have my own opinion about it, and i stand by that..i have nothing against the individuals themselves, however as with any religious practice, there are alot of things that bother me...if you want to make a thread about catholocism i would be happy to post my opinions about that...i have met some super chill mormons, however i think that alot of their beliefs are rediculous..i hardly got owned for thinking that
 
this kid knows what hes talking about. my whole family is mormon except my sister and i.I grew up being taught it my whole life. the whole organized religion idea dosent really make a lot of sence to me. i think that if someone really wants to know about god they should read the bible and interpret it how they read it, not how thousands of other people tell them. but as for bashing on someones religion that they believe with all of their heart is not a cool thing to do. most of the people in this thread have no respect. if you really want to know something about a religion, ask someone who believes in it, not someone who is anti-the religion or who has just heard rumors. are you going to believe a snowboarder who says skiers cant slide rails?

I don't contradict myself in any way at all. Only the president can receive revelations, but anyone can "talk to God." The entire book of mormon has been discredited by science, don't fucking argue cause its true. There is not a single shred of evidence the nephites or lamanites existed. I know that polygamists are excommunicated, but do you honestly believe Mormons believe its wrong? No fucking way, they dropped polygamy to become accepted, and now they vigilantly excommunicate "polygs" cause they don't want to tarnish their reputation.

The book of Mormon is a racist, sexist, ridiculous work of fiction. My sources can mostly be found in Under the Banner of Heaven, which is not an anti-mormon book, it simply contains the truth on this ridiculously fucked up religion. Read it and it will blow your mind, I have nothing against most Mormons because they are nice, but they practice a religion that is just fundamentally wrong.

I know what I am talking about so do not fucking argue with me. Maybe if you knew more about the religion and had actually read that joke called the book of mormon, you'd realize I am correct. The church doesn't teach its members the myriad facts about their religion that are completely ridiculous.

Bottom line, even if you don't believe me, everyone in the scientific community would say the events in the book of mormon are impossible. I guess Joseph Smith should have thought things through a little more when he was making this shit up, because every piece of geological/archeological evidence pertaining to America's history goes against the book of Mormon.
