Morgan Hill Snowflex Center

Fuck yes. I get my license a month before Summer starts. I guess I have a trip to make a few times this Summer 3 hours with traffic according to Google maps.
 
Im trying to find out more info. BUT i think there is one in the Roseville area. it has rails and a quarter pipe.
 
morgan hill is supposed to have a 2x two option kickers, various boxes, and a cliff drop (?)

nothing special, but im still pumped nonetheless
 
guy i recived an email about the progress of the Snowflex Center

bad news......

heres the email:

Hi,Thanks for your support. We are not on schedule. The city has

slowed down the permitting process and looks like we will be open

around late 2010 to early 2011.
 
Yeah.. i actually talked to the guys trying to build it about the status of it and everything and they dont have any permits or anything to build it yet... nor do they have a solid place where theyre going to build it.

They want Morgan Hill because so many of the east bay, penninsula, and North Bay hills are protected by regional parks, and they cant build there, Also, its right out of San Jose, so its not a big distance away from anything. They've also looked at areas near Sears Point, and near Livermore, but nothing's come together enough unfortunately.

The good thing is they've planted the seeds for such a thing and it's going to happen soon, but yeah... it will for sure be a few years.

as for a place near roseville, i havent heard of such a thing... nor would that make much sense because there arent many hills around there...
 
damn, i was hoping it would get done before this summer so i can sesh it before i leave california for college. oh well. still stoked for everyone else though, and it'll be there for later summers.
 
Heres an update:

I talked to a rep from MGSC and they have found a location and the park will be open early 2011.

Its a long wait, but it will be worth it to ski everyday in the summer.
