It's dumping here right now. 6" on the ground already with much more on the way.

If you type in West Dover, VT into any weather website you'll see a giant green blob just hanging out over head. 10"+ possible by the end of the day.

Reggaefest this weekend. Pond Skimming, live music, Toots & the Maytals Saturday night, Duct Tape Derby Sunday.

Vermontster Park still featuring everything from last weekend's Mount Snow Freeski Open.

Happy Extended Winter.

yo i was at stratton today skiing. Shit was INSANE! great conditions for almost april. They got between 6 and 10inches. woods were awesome there was like a 20in base in the woods with that snow ontop of it. Ive never seen so much snow late season in vt.

What's the deal with the pond skim? I remember last year it was only open to the first 50 entries or something, but on the site this year it just says registration between 10:00 AM and 11:30 AM. I'm definitely doing it if that's teh case.

"We’re streamlining our trail count starting Monday, with the Sunbrook and Carinthia faces closing down. Carinthia’s still got plenty of life this season, though, as we begin building a snowmobile course on Stugger’s Chute and around the base area for this upcoming weekend’s Rock Maple Snocross finals. And don’t fret, cause you’ve still got virtually every trail on the Main Face and North Face open and at your disposal. Every single trail is absolutely buried in snow, top to bottom, edge to edge. These are mid-winter conditions, smack dab in the middle of Spring skiing season, so don’t miss it. Click here for Springtime mountain operations changes."

so uhhh...how is diablo open for the rest of the season?

:( those jumps were so much fun today...until i found out tomarrow is the last day carinthia will be open.

Yesterday I asked one of the park rangers what was up with them closing el diablo. He told me to email kpollak@mountsnow.com, and just be like "vermontster was sick this year...id love to see it stay open longer"

so you can try that.

and he mentioned a memorial day rail jam to me....

my first time there this past week, and i think im in love. stuck in ohio and WNY really doesnt allow for sick parks like taht.... that urban flat down after the halfpipe was so dopee whoever was hitting that

i saw a kid eat shit hard attempting that urban flat down, you have to go in with a lot of speed cause that flat rail is kinda slow

heres what i wrote

vermonster has stepped up to a level it should have been all year and most of the local riders wont be able to hit it because of carinthia closing this weekend, and itd be great if we could all get to ski a few more weeks, also we all know theres more than enough snow for it. ;)

thanks

This year, Vermontster was awesome. Everybody agrees, especially now that it has been built up for the Mount Snow open. I think it's a shame that today was the last day it was open, especially since it is in perfect condition. I'd just like to let you know that if there is any way possible to keep it open, (even just for weekends) us freestyle skiers, and riders would be very happy. Thanks!

no..haha, I wish. I saw someone do some nasty spins off that tho.

I was the kid with the striped white sweatshirt, and rossi scratches. I didnt really stop to sesh with you guys, cause i was with a buddy who cant do anything.

mods can you PLEASE move this back to ski gabber not many people will see it here and i reallly want to keep riding this park!!!!

yesterday absolutely kicked ass.

great conditions and the weather couldnt have been any better! my gog tan is so fierce now! muhahaha

so i went up today for an employee rail jam and the best answer as to wy they're closing it is because they have no lifties...bullshit close down the northface theres only like 2 trails over there anyways. and bring the lifties to th heavy metal double. PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEE
